We had a great time camping here, well stocked shop, great café offering a great cooked breakfast. Lovely play area for little ones with cars and bikes to play on. We'll definitely. Visit again, kids loved fishing catching lots of little fish and goats were a hit too!

When we checked in we were taken to our lodge by jack the warden who let us know that our lodge was brand new but unfinished - then pointed out the unfinished parts to us - not all cupboards up in the kitchen, door missing in kitchen and proped up in the lounge, no bottom plates in the kitchen screws and things left out (we tidied them away due to having a toddler, part of the kitchen in the walk in wardrobe so don't use that, some blinds missing. After a quick shower in the very disappointing shower and slipping on the wet room floor which had become extremely slippy we changed and went out to a wedding, on the way out my daughter whilst walking on the grass to the car stood on a hige decking screw which made her foot bleed, on our way out took the screw to the staff and explained what had happened - no apology what so ever just told that it wa obviously dropped when they were building the deck !!! Returned late on from a wedding to discover we had no electricity to the lodge at all - rang jack he came around and got us up and running again turns out all the lodges were out and he didn't think to check ours as we were out, with a young family when we go away we go off exploring during the days, returned to the lodge had tea etc, went to put some things in the washer and it wasn't working, put the tribe to bed and settled down to watch some tv and all the power went out again !!! Quick call to jack out he came and sorted it -emailed the customer service people regarding my frustrations, out and about the next day and again tea and bed settled to watch football can you guess what comes next ........ Yup complete power loss again ! Sent yet another email regarding my annoyance of spending £525 on an unfinished lodge with 3 power losses in 3 nights - recieved a standard we are sorry and will look into it days later - my husband figured out the issue with the washer (it had not been correctly plumbed in) day before we left the warden stopped us to ask if we had a problem we told him it was fixed.

The park is lovely and the lodge will be stunning when completed ...... Just frustrating to find out you have paid full fees for an unfinished lodge, recieve no apology when your child is injured and have no decent communication from the management team !

Apart from the well investigate and get back to you (never happened) email the only other one I recieved was asking for a review !

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are sorry to hear that it did not reach the high standards that you rightfully expect.
We were aware that the lodge still had some incomplete features but we moved you, as this was a larger and newer lodge than the one originally booked. As you stated, you were paying full price, therefore we would not have done this if we were unable to give you the same facilities that you would have had in our other detached lodges. There were kitchen cupboards to use and two double wardrobes in the master bedroom so we did not anticipate that blocking the additional walk-in wardrobe would be a hindrance. I agree it would have been nice to have the finishing touches completed however, which have now been done. Each of our detached lodges are slightly different internally in terms of design however they all have the same number of rooms. The wet room ensuite is a unique feature to this lodge, but all of our lodges have two bathrooms so there was still the use of the other bathroom (with a shower and bath) as you did not find the wet room floor suitable.
I can assure you that we did receive your email and our deputy park manager asked Jack to check that everything was ok and to fix the washing machine. He responded that you were alright, and that the water had not been turned on to the washing machine, which your husband had switched on. We should however, have emailed a response to let you know that this had been done.
In terms of the power going out, at the moment that lodge is connected to the system through the campsite which meant that the electricity was going off as the system was being tripped over a busy weekend. We are currently investing in laying more cabling to separate the lodges electricity supply and divide it accordingly so that each system will not be overloaded. This will mean that there will no longer be any problems with the electricity going off for any of our lodge or camping customers.
I am very sorry that there were screws in the kitchen when you arrived, our cleaners had been in before-hand and should have seen and removed them. I also apologise for the way in which your child’s injury was dealt with, I can assure you that we do not take these matters lightly and I have taken it up with both our cleaners and all of our office staff. As you stated you did not feel that you had an effective line of communication with our management team. It is our policy to let all of our customers know when they check in that if they have any issues during their stay, to contact our shop. I have reviewed our check-in system with our shop staff to make sure that our contact details are pointed out clearly every time. I have also spoken to our office staff about the lack of response via email to ensure that this does not happen again.
It seems that in terms of the lodge, as you stated it was not quite complete with all of the finishing touches that it should have been (walk-in wardrobe, kitchen blinds etc.) and I understand that this left you disappointed. We take all of our customer’s reviews very seriously, and usually receive excellent feedback. I have dealt with all of the issues raised to ensure that none of these problems happen again. Thank you for your kind comment on our park, we are working harder than ever to make sure that the site and our lodges are maintained to an excellent standard. We have recently employed more gardeners and maintenance staff and as stated above we are having extra electrical cabling fitted, so I am confident that none of these events will reoccur. I do hope that in light of this, we will be able to welcome you to Yaxham Waters again in the future.

The most relaxing 3 days we have had , myself Lindsay and our dog snowey just chilled out in the lovely yurts , very comfy very clean. Lived off the BBQ, sleeping in the hammocks, eating at the Cafe where everyone was beyond helpful and the farm shop was very good.
the washing area was very clean and showers were lovely.
cant thank Shane enough it was amazing and a lovely holiday that we had with our dog as these places hard to find , on the other had still romantic and peaceful, would recommend to anyone and 30mins from the Broads.

Room Tip: The Mongolian Yurts secluded and peaceful

Just returned from booking a 2 night camping break, and ended up staying for 5 nights and would have loved to stayed for 2 more nights but unfortunately the campsite was fully booked, we had four children ranging from 10 up to 14. We booked an electric pitch and although this was our first camping experience we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the site. The toilets/showers and washing area were clean and adequate. The children enjoyed feeding the fish, chickens and goats and we thought that the amount of food that was in the bag was great value for 50p a bag! they also liked the park and especially the free wifi in the cafe. Although we were only able to use one of the lakes on site the amount of fish that was caught was more than enough to keep the kids and hubby happy. would definatly return for another weekend break

This review is only of the cafe, have never stayed at the campsite or lodges although they did look really good when we had a wander around the site.
Have been for Sunday breakfast several times and it is good value and freshly cooked to order. Have heard people mumble about the time it takes to get your meal but my attitude is that if its served very quickly, it aint freshly cooked ! I would rather wait a while and have a better meal.
Staff are friendly and do a cracking job, nice surroundings and plenty of room to park.
Jobs a good 'un !!

Having looked round this pleasant site we stayed for lunch and what a delight. Fresh vegetables, all locally sourced, reasonably priced and of good quality. Not only service with a smile but on Thursdays a special over 60's discount. We will return.
