We booked the only room available so that we could attend a wedding in Lydney and we certainly hit the jackpot - we had Ruardean and it was fantastic. We have never previously experienced such a superb room in a B & B, fitted with beautiful furniture and a most comfortable king size bed. The bathroom had both a huge bath and a lovely shower and the owners were so helpful.
We hope to visit the Forest again and, if we do, will certainly stay at the Rock

Room Tip: They are probably all very good but Ruardean must be the best.

Excellent accommodation in quiet countryside, friendly welcome from Chris & Lindy. All rooms are fitted to a high standard and this is an ideal base for touring or walking in the lovely Forest of Dean. Jon H.

Our favorite B&B, couldn't rate it higher. The room we stayed in is of such a high quality, with magnificent views of the valleys. The breakfast in the morning really sets you up for the day and is very well cooked and Chris and Lindy couldn't be more helpful.

We are already planning our next trip back!

Just got back from a wonderful weekend with our family at The Rock B&B. Wow, what a place,we had an en-suite room with a four poster bed. The en-suite was a nice size, and the bed was really comfortable. Our daughter, her husband and two children had one of the studio apartments, they were really pleased with the room, and have said that they (as will we) will be returning again in the future.
The breakfast was superb, all local products. There is a pub near by (walking distance) that served good food (by excellent staff) at a very reasonable price.

All in all, a very good place, and I will be recommending The Rock to all of our friends. Can't wait for the next visit.

Room Tip: The rooms by the house are excellent, but the studios are even better
