Thank you for an amazing Christmas day out. The Santa experience is brilliant, he actually comes down the chimney!! Very impressed with the present too. Highly recommend.

We went to Perrygrove today for a 6th birthday party. We were in no way disapointed. All the kids had a great time in the treetop adventure and loved the train ride to the top of the forrest. The treasure hunt was enjoyed by all and the use of the engine shed for the picnic was brilliant. A lovely family day out.

We visited perrygrove yesterday with my 3 young grandchildren, my daughter and my mum and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 hours there. It was expensive for just 2 hours but had the weather been warmer and us more organised we would have come for longer. My parents live very close so it was home for a cup of tea so we did not use cafe facilities however young staff encountered were friendly and pleasant. The short train ride was enchanting winding up through its narrow track. At the top you can hop off and children can play in the small but safe playground. I would imagine that in that beautiful summer we have just had it would be easy to stay for hours with a picnic. The sight of the little steam train chugging back up the hill caused great excitement mostly with the 30, 52 and 73 year olds as by this time our young children were flagging and we all wanted to stay on the train and keep going up and down! Very therapeutic. Train drivers were great - waving to kids as they set off. To summarise - an unplanned spur of the moment afternoon out but we are now planning a christmas excursion at perrygrove. Ps chickens great too!

Welcoming, well designed day out for children aged 7 and under. A charming miniature railway runs all day between different parts of a hillside site. There is a brilliant original 'treetops' play area, buggy-friendly but just the right size for hours of chasing and hiding games. A rather smaller and more conventional climbing frame is under cover at the top of the site, at the end of the railway line. There's a reasonably priced cafe and plenty of space for picnics

We only went here as we saw it on the way to Puzzlewood. The train ride was unexciting and dull and the cafe boring. Hugely disappointing.

Please see our other reviews from people who do not think our steam train is dull or hugely disappointing - our positive reviews usually come from people who enjoy not only the train ride but also our Indoor Village with Secret Passages, Treetop Adventure, Den Building in the woods, etc.
