Beautiful cottage - clean and with everything you could need for your stay. A real home from home. The lovely homemade cake when we arrived was an added joy! A good base to see this lovely area. Relaxing, peaceful and just a brilliant place to chill.

“A lovely, peaceful and cosy cottage”

Chapel cottage is a lovely place to stay, all the amenities of home right in the heart of the Forest of Dean. The cottage was clean and well maintained with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The conservatory with its huge table was perfect for drawing and painting and it was great to have a garden to sit in, (especially as the weather was glorious). The kitchen is well equipped and the welcome gifts of cake, wine, eggs and milk were lovely. The cottage is close to many super walks and locations and there are plenty of places to eat. I look forward to staying here again.

Can`t think of a more perfect destination for my special birthday than Chapel Cottage. Arrived to find beautiful, clean cottage with log fires already made up for our arrival. Extra special touches were the fabulous cake, bottle of wine and doggy treats. The cottage has everything you need and instructions for all appliance, heating etc. Recommend the Ostrich pub in Newland for a lovely meal and many choices of beers. Many walks too numerous to mention but Tintern was one of our favourites and was great after 5 hours walking to get back to cosy Chapel Cottage. Will definately be back.

We stayed at Chapel Cottage for one week at the end of June.
The cottage is situated in a small village about 3-5 minutes walk to entrances into the Forest of Dean. It is attached to the back of the old Sunday School (I think). Although there is no 'view' as such from the cottage, the garden is secure, enclosed and pretty, and is a suntrap for most of the day. The owner has grown salad leaves in the garden for guests to cut and eat and this is just one example of the thoughtfulness that has gone into making Chapel Cottage a lovely place to stay. The entrance is through the conservatory/dining room, with a further door into the main area of the cottage.
The cottage is very clean and the rooms are nicely decorated and furnished and reasonably spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped .

I felt that Chapel Cottage was excellent value and we enjoyed our stay in the Forest of Dean.
