Because I am Disabled I was given a room close to the lift, Bar and Dining Room. A High backed chair was supplied to make me more comfortable. The staff were all excellent and no task was was too much for them. The room was large, airy and had a patio overlooking the Bay, and was clean and well appointed. The room was warm and cosy, lights took time to get used to, and the towel rail in the bathroom was red hot and tended to burn your right arm when you were at the sink (which had a hairline crack). The food and the service and £30 set Dinner Menu (for 4 Courses) were all excellent. The Hungarian dining room waiter was very professional, as well as being very pleasant and charming. The Breakfast was really good with choices of cereals, fresh fruit segments etc was exceptional, as was the cooked breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for a Winter Break as the hotel is warm and cosy and the open fires create atmosphere as well as warmth. Because of my disability I did not use the Spa, but heard good reports of the facilities.

Room Tip: The rooms on the higher floors have an excellent view of the Bay (rear of the hotel).

Since the refurbishment we have stayed her 4 or 5 times and it is almost as if we are in a different hotel every time - i have family in the area and so like to visit the area.

have been meaning to write this review for some time and it was only when i was looking to book a couple of nights between xmas and new year and checking out reviews on trip advisor to see where is getting the ratings currently

GOOD POINTS:
1 - small spa tranquil and good facilities
2 - linen good quality (but not pillows!)
3 - food can be very very good BUT.....
4 - staff can be excellent BUT..........
5 - some very good wines
6 - afternoon tea on terrace lovely
7- views exceptional

BAD POINTS:
1 - pillows now very uncomfortable
2 - breakfast over busy running out and long delays - lots of cross clients!
3 - staff can be rude and contradict each other
4 - have to wait 20 mins for coffee/tea and then go and ask again!!
5 - disorganisation and weak service
6- problems checking out overcharged considerably had to query a number of items on bill
7 - evening service of meals and quality has varied considerably from superb to totally awful with cold items having to be sent back and wrong orders etc!

As there are not many places to choose from in the area - we make take our chances again -

Room Tip: rooms over looking bay carry a premium but well worth the extra

Greeted by an exceptionally friendly and professional receptionist, Abby, my friend and were made to feel welcome immediately. She was very helpful and completely charming. The room; perfect, the spa; outstanding! the grounds; simply stunning. After a good two hours in the spa, we attended the bar; the staff were fun, entertaining and clearly enjoying themselves. The restaurant was very busy and enjoyed a sophisticated and, dare I say it, very well groomed clientele. More smart than casual, but with a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff again, charming and professional.
A busy breakfast room, with attentive staff followed in the morning. With a very decent menu and everything to a very high standard, it was topped off with a beautiful view of the grounds and the water. Highly recommended. Already planning another visit.

Came here for a weekend break. The staff were very friendly and attentive, decor is modern and clean. Ate in both the restaurant and the jetty, the food was good but didn't deserve the pricetag. The bedroom was nice but very small, and not laid out/designed well. Unfortunately the pillows were awful, neither of us slept well because of this and have come away with sore necks. The bedroom was also very hot for a november weekend, with no heating on we had to sleep with a fan and the window open. Sadly this wasn't the most comfortable stay, and we are unlikely to return.

We stayed at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel from Thursday, November 28 - Sunday, December 1. We had a really nice break. The hotel is in a great location with beautiful views. The decoration in the common areas is really nice too.

We stayed on a package which included bed and breakfast and two dinners in the hotel restaurant. Our room was fine but very small and a bit tired, the bathroom in particular was tiny with a very small shower and no bath.

The spa is nice and was quiet when we went, great for chilling for a couple of hours each day.

Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great and drinks weren't badly priced if you're used to London prices!

The couple of things I would mention are that service charge is added to the meals which are included so you have to factor this in, some of the flights of drinks which they list on the menu are actually more expensive than the individual items (the whisky one for example) and the breakfast service can be really slow.

Stayed here during business trip to Bournemouth earlier this month. We were on a deal so value for money was excellent, haven't checked what the proper prices are. However, hotel was excellent and the service friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The property (and our room) appeared to have been recently refurbished to a very high standard. We dined in the hotel restaurant on both nights of our stay - chosing a la carte on the 2nd night - and all the food we ate was beautiful. The breakfast was especially good - freshly cooked to order which is always preferable to congealed eggs and sausages as in a buffet-style breakfast, I find. We were in a superior room with a balcony overlooking the harbour however, as were were checking out I overheard a gentleman asking what type of room he had been in because he was so satisfied with it he would like to book again in the same quality room - it was one of their basic rooms - so, that would appear to be a good recommendation for their 'standard' rooms. We will use this hotel again next time we are in the area.

Room Tip: Always nice to have a sea view although these rooms are extra. Didn't hear any complaints about...

My daughter and I went here for her birthday spa treat. The package included a back massage and facial and then either lunch or afternoon tea. We opted for the tea as family members were joining us for the celebration.

The facilities were lovely and the staff both in the spa and the restaurant could not have been more helpful.

All in all it was a lovely day and we are planning on a return trip but to stay this time!
