Lovely quiet hotel very clean and the staff couldnt do enough for you. I decided to book this hotel as a last minutes weekend away and got it really cheap for bed and breakfast. The hotel has plenty of parking and has nice surroundings. The breakfast is served in the pullman coach on the grounds it was served bery quick and was hot.

Have been to the Avon Causeway a few times and not been disappointed. It serves lovely good quality food, poached chicken in Stilton sauce is amazing.
It has been quiet on every occasion, but in a nice way! no need to shout to you dinner partner.
This may not appeal to all but I like the fact it does not seem to be a magnet for people with children, hurray, so you can forget high chairs, tripping over toys, tacky colouring packs and kids and parents loosing the plot.

Would recommend this restaurant for the 40 plus age group.

we stayed at this quirky hotel on 8th March. We were given a lovely comfy room with very large and comfy bed. Flatscreen tv. Large ensuite with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel supplied.Lovely very large fluffy white towels and hand towels supplied.
We had a nice view onto the beer garden.

Plus side was the complimentary teas and coffee tray...they supplied normal twinings teas and a selection of fruit teas. Cadburys Hot Chocolate and a small cafetiere with a packet of cafetiere coffee supplied. Also, 2 small glass bottles of water. 2 packets of biscuits.
We felt that these were very nice touches!

A very quiet and relaxed Hotel (but as other reviews point out, it is near a busy road, but the trees and excellent sound proofed windows keep the noise out. We had no problems with this)

The best of all was the breakfast served on the train carriage (and served until 9.30am at the weekend). Lovely quirky setting which was nicely furnished. Excellent and attentive service and friendly waitresses. We had the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon which was of a very high standard. Prepared to perfection...which was faultless. Breakfast was to the standard of some of the best 5 star restaurants and Hotels.
Cafetiere of coffee too :)

We would definitely stay there again! Thanks for a great stay and excellent breakfast :)

We found the Avon Causeway Hotel by chance on laterooms.com when looking for a good deal on a night away.

On arrival we were greeted warmly and booked in. Our room was very comfortable with a huge four poster bed and the standards of cleanliness were excellent. The facilities in the room were also really good and we enjoyed the cookies.

The menu in the restaurant gave good choice and we enjoyed a home cooked 3 course meal with drinks which was also good value for money.

Joining the other guests on the carriage was wonderful and half expected Miss Marple to appear. The breakfast was a high standard and due to being served until 10am there was no sense of it being 'rushed'. All staff including the manager made every effort to ensure that guests were relaxed and enjoying their stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be returning in the future.

We booked here purely because it was a good deal, and we wanted somewhere near the Ringwood Brewery.(a great tour!)
What a great find. We were upgraded (without requesting it!) and had a lovely room, spocious and with a nice, functional but smallish shower room.
The room was well stocked with great little extras- filter coffee and a cafitiere rather then instant, and delicious biscuits.lovely plump towels too!
The evening meal was a good deal too as they had a variety of vouchers in the bedroom that could be used- 20% off, free dessert, £10 off etc. Tasty and nicely prsented too. Ale pie and lamb shank, although the only roasted veg was carrots and parsnips- a bigger variety, or maybe something green would have looked better.
Friendly service from the man we booked in with and also the waitress (dinner at 9pm and breakfast the next morning!)
Breakfast was served in the railway carriage alongside the hotel (accessible though a covered area) It was excellent- delicious sausages! variety of breakfasts available.Good that it was served till 10am too- I don't like early breakfasts! Great place to eat too!
The stay was a real nice break- it wasn't noisy in terms of 'guests in the pub' at all but there was road noise. It was a bit like 'white nose' though as it was a continuous hum, not too loud.
All in all I'd definately recommend this place.
