“Amazing B@B”
Reviewed 27 August 2012

We were here in March and back again to relax and enjoy being spoilt by Graham and Angela. We have been coming to the amazing Bure Lodge since they first opened and keep coming back! The surrounding area is like our second home as we have been having holidays here for 33 years and now we have struck gold by stopping with Graham and Angela. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the room and food is always exceptional. We have already booked for next year and always look forward to stopping with them. Many thanks again both of you.

My wife and I stayed at this B&B for 3 nights in early August and we were just amazed at everything that was included in the already modest price.Bure Lodge is furnished and decorated to a very high standard.Nothing is too much for Angela and Graham right from the range of tea's to the full english breakfast which is scrumptious. The place is spotlessly clean, there are more than enough public rooms to wile away the time if the weather is not to good. There are all the usual little touches that you would associate with some of the top hotels in the area, an absolute gem.

Room Tip: Dont be afraid to ask anything of Agela or Graham they will do their utmost to oblige

When we left Bure Lodge to head off to the Isle of Wight, we said to Angela and Graham, that we would be hard pushed to find a better B&B...and we were right!
We haven't stayed in a better B&B...ever.. simple as that.

The rooms here were wonderfully decorated and very spacious. Our room was spotlessly clean; it felt like it was our room! very high standards indeed. There are plenty of parking spaces and only 5 minutes walk from the lovely beach. The views are spectacular...when you visit...go along Mudeford spit, walk up the hill and look back...just lovely...

ALL your needs are met here...every kind of drink you might want/need/ care to have is there (and also a chocolate bar which I quickly disposed of!) Our room was not en suite which we knew about and agreed to when booking but will not book a room without en suite again, in any establishment, as we realise that we do require this kind of privacy; hopping across the hallway to the bathroom is not to our desire and a little bit cloak and dagger in order to avoid other guests...awkward! we managed but my husband did say that he felt self conscious about ablutions knowing that guests were in the breakfast room eating their breakfast.

A torch would be useful in this room as well so as to aid the transit to to the toilet in the middle of night to avoid waking your partner by turning the light on. It is so dark in this room that it is difficult to 'feel' you way around.

There was also an iron/ironing board, and a hair dryer. This is a nice touch as I had only brought my travel hair dryer (just in case) and no iron at all... but needn't have worried. Our room also had a lovely big 42" flat screen TV and also SKY channels so we didn't miss any of the Olympics...great!

Breakfast is just divine and could not be faulted; the choice is immense! with smoked haddock, kippers, heated croissants, cereals, fresh fruit, home made jams and bread as well as the full English...if you find fault here then you can only be Victor Meldrew!

Guests were encouraged to use the front room, the conservatory and also the garden...it was very much a case of Mi Casa es Su Casa! I sat in the front room on the first night of our stay as I couldn't sleep and you know what...I didn't ever feel like I was in someone else's house..I was very happy...even though I was wide awake when I should have been asleep. It is great having this option as I am not the type to be able to lie in bed and need to get up...I was very grateful at having the use of this room.

Another nice touch, is the bottles of water in the fridge; guests are welcome to them, free of charge. There are also copious amounts of drinks and sachets of hot chocolate etc (even decaf) in the hallway, so if you are in the lounge then you didn't even have to return to your room...

Overall our stay was excellent...if there was a better superlative than excellent...then I would use it!... Angela and Graham were very knowledgeable about their area and even had little photocopied maps for guests convenience...every little attention to detail catered for...even down to remembering and using our first names; like they had known us forever...indeed when we left, we had a lovely big hug from them, just like you would do with friends or family...and that it what it feels like to stay here...when we revisit Christchurch again...and we will...we will not stay anywhere else...I don't care if they have gold plated taps...you wont get a welcome nor a goodbye like this anywhere...like the strap line says FAB FAB FAB FAB ....only... I would add another FAB!

Room Tip: Think about whether the NON EN SUITE room is for you if you are used to and value your own privacy o...

We stayed at Bure Lodge for 3 nights in room 4. There is nothing that Angela and Graham hadn't thought of, the room was spotless, newly decorated, huge bathroom with power shower, bathrobes, slippers - you name it. They even make their own bread and breakfast preserves!
Position is great, easy walk to the beach and local pubs/restaurants. I walked into Christchurch and took a bus back, even that stopped outside the B&B!

Room Tip: Room 4 is excellent

A fantastic B&B. I think you will be troubled to find a better B&B in the South of England if not throughout the country. Attention to detail is so high with clean, well presented, spacious rooms throughout together with a lovely lounge and conservatory. We have been coming back for four years now and we are always amazed with how it is constantly being upgraded with all beds now having memory foam mattresses and it is kept at the highest standard of decoration and cleanliness. After a great nights sleep you can look forward to an excellent breakfast. You just need to know that it is of excellent quality, well cooked and of plentiful supply - not just the full english, but there is a great selection of fruit, yoghurt and juices. We take our 2 children and the family room is great for the 4 of us but to be honest I would come here if I was 18 or 75, on holiday or on business. A really nice place to stay in a lovely part of the country with the beach only a short walk way. All of this at a very reasonable price. I should also mention that the owners are a really lovely couple who are very good hosts. Always available and always willing to help with anything.

Every need was anticipated and catered for! Overwhelming choice of breakfast from
The healthy to the not so healthy from uk to American. A lot of thought had gone into the little extras in the room. Someone had quite simply, thought about what they wanted or needed when away, what little things that you can't do without but often forget, and then provided them.

My husband and myself have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Angela and Graham's B & B. The standard of accommodation is excellent, the rooms are spotless with many extra touches. All the beds have memory foam mattresses - very comfortable. Bottled water is complementary and the choice of tea is amazing from ordinary tea bags to Earl Grey and fruit teas. If anything runs out you replenish it yourself from a 'store' in the hall. The breakfast is varied, beautifully cooked and very filling! We didn't need to eat again until dinnertime at about 6 p.m. The welcome we received was very much appreciated, we were given a little tour and shown where everything was in a warm friendly manner.

There are a couple of pubs serving food within walking distance and many more within a short car drive. Mudeford Quay is about a 10 minute walk. There is a bus stop just up the road for those not having or wanting to use a car.

This B & B is deinitely worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.
