“A fabulously relaxing long weekend.”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

We have just got home from a great long weekend stay at Bure Farm House. Sylvia is the perfect hostess, warm, friendly and with a fantastic knowledge of the local area and it's history. She made the area come alive with interesting facts that made us want to explore so much more than we usually do. The breakfasts were delicious and there is so much choice. Our room was very comfortable. There was plenty of tea, coffee, fresh milk and biscuits for whenever we wanted. We took advantage of these and sat in her beautiful front garden soaking up the sun and reading between our ventures out.
The location was perfect for us to cycle to the beach and along the seafront.
If we revisit the area we will definitely book in here again.

Stayed for 2 nights with my husband over the bank holiday weekend. Sylvia made us very welcome even though we arrived very early and she was still dealing with breakfast. Very well positioned only a few minutes walk from the nearest beach, breakfast was varied each morning which was a nice touch. We had grapefruit for the first time in many years and we both really enjoyed it for a change. Sylvia really knows the area well and told us various routes that we could cycle along and was more than accommodating to store our bikes safely overnight.

This is a b&b that my wife and I have stayed in on regular occasions since 2006. If you are looking for a great B&B in this area then look no further than this one. It is conveniently situated not only for the beaches but also for the New forest and Sylvia has always been a great hostess and it feels like a home from home for us. The breakfasts are excellent and if you let Sylvia know in advance, she will whip up something a little different for you and will cook breakfast at a time to suit you. The range of breakfast is good and caters to all tastesThe beds are ok and I never have a problem dropping off to sleep. Also the house is blessed with a beautiful garden at the front. You get a key so you can get in and out at a time to suit you. When my wife first suggested a b&b I did have some images in my mind, but Sylvia runs a great b&b to dispel them. PS if you aren't sure about things to do Sylvia has a great knowledge of the local area and has some tips about places to see. Also the rooms are well priced and are value for money.

From the moment we arrived we felt like part of the family as well as paying guests . Sylvia was a great host, and offered a wealth of anecdotes and information about the area, and showed a genuine interest throughout the visit. I can't stress enough how much she 'made' our holiday.

On top of that , the room was comfortable and quiet, the breakfasts were expertly made using great local ingredients. Definitely one for couples/families, especially if, like us, you love a good chat over a cuppa.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and would definitely recommend it, Sylvia is a wonderful host and very full of interesting information about the surrounding area, very nice breakfast, we booked last minute and although we got a twin room, it was sufficient
