Firstly, this B&B is actually in Highcliffe rather than Christchurch. Location is ok, on a busy road close to the village centre and easy walk to the beach. Standards within seem to vary considerably though. Our party booked two bedrooms, both doubles. The one at the front had clearly been refurbished in recent times and was fine with a good shower room (although this needed better ventilation as there was a deal of mildew on the ceiling) and comfortable bed. The room at the back though was an entirely different matter: it was tiny, in desperate need of a major refurbishment, and had an antiquated bathroom with many parts of it needing fixing.
Breakfast, however, was very good.
The place seems to cater more for business travelers (on a budget) rather than the tourist trade. Overall, ok as a place to sleep for a night if passing through but not recommended for holiday makers.

We stayed here for the night of 28th August: it was absolutely fine. We were given Reagan: it is not their fault that there is a noisy road outside! Everything that we needed, and a very nice breakfast.

Room Tip: Possibly ask for one away from the road.

We stayed two nights in the small double. Bed and bedding luxurious good quality. Bathroom generous size and bedroom adequate. Lovely breakfast and good choice chosen night before. Clean but not spotless. Probably need to clean taps with Viakal to get rid of hard water build up. Radiators and Venetian blinds need a clean. Would stay again as owners friendly. Need to keep bedroom window shut to keep road noise out. With it shut room was very quiet. Thanks.

Great little b&b, close to the beach and everything you need. Stayed in Lincoln room which was lovely, nice decor and nice comfy bed and the breakfast can not be faulted! Will definitely be returning!

I booked this accommodation for two nights after seeing a couple of pictures of the rooms, they looked quite nice. They only showed pictures of the bedroom. The bathroom however was in desperate need of updating. The bath was years old and was badly stained with limescale, as were the taps on the bath and the hand basin. I would say this accommodation is only worth a two star, and definitely not a four star as stated. The breakfast was ok, but not great, and the proprietors wife looked like she had jumped straight out of bed to serve breakfast. She had not even brushed her hair, not very professional and rather off putting. I would not stay there again.

Came for a relaxing break. On arrival did not feel welcome. Room very small photos of rooms very deceptive. Bathroom very small, bed very small with a plastic mattress cover that crunched all night that was hot to sleep on. Owner did not no what room we were in after our third night. breakfast was adequate but not as stated on menu. Not offered any extra tea / coffee or toast felt rushed to leave. Checkout paid by card no problems but not even a thank you or goodbye. So i will say good bye white house and will not be returning.
A good break spoilt .
