“Good location.”
Reviewed 30 October 2013

We took our camper down for a break and must say it was ideal for sightseeing and a very clean and quiet site. Toilet block immaculate and even a bath for 50p if you wanted one. The weather was kind to us and we had a very enjoyable stay.

Another fantastic stay at Meadow Bank. During the October storms!! Spotlessly clean in a peaceful spot on the river. Great location in the middle of all the top spots and locations. Boscombe beach being the closest and one of the nicest! Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely worth a visit to reception to ask about local takeaways and attractions. Wish we were still there now!

We stayed here on the last August bank holiday (our 4th visit) My husband and I have come for weekends away before and knew it would be perfect for our 2 yr old, which it was. We had one of the new 4 berth caravans and it was immaculate, the shower better than ours at home, have also stayed in older caravans that were immaculate too.
There was one day that was a bit nippy in the evening but we were toasty with the fire on. Perfect location for New Forest and Bournemouth. We went to Boscombe beach though that was just lovely and a few minutes away. The no site entertainment is a bonus as it is lovely and peaceful so no loud drunken people setting the car alarm off! (Yes we mistakenly tried out another park in Lyme Regis once with my step sons) Great tourist info in the shop and the local chinese delivers ;P
Back next year for sure, yay!

Stayed as a mixed group of 4 at Meadowbank for 1 week early October.
Could not fault the park as it is very well maintained. The location is good for exploring round and about. The reception staff are very helpful and pleasant and the shop is adequately stocked.
We had one of the cheapest caravans as the holiday was purely about fishing and taking the cost of it into consideration you could not complain,it had all the essentials and was clean.
As we all fish we picked Meadowbank primarily for it's location as there is a section of the river Stour, beat 3 which you can fish from the banks of the caravan park section and all along the bank to the green bridge for either a daily or weekly fee, obtained from reception .Also the park is handy for other fishing venues in the area.We tried the parks stretch on several occasions as did others staying on the park and like the others were disappointed as it did not live up to expectations.Having said that the other places we tried off the park were much the same, the locals telling us the rivers were not producing as well.
There is a large Tesco's supermarket a few minutes drive away also we ate out most evenings at the Sizzlers pub not far away.Good value and the food was good we thought. They do special offer meals and I got vouchers to download and print off when I visited their web-site.
Other takeaways close to the Sizzlers as well.
The only downside for us was the constant low key "buzzing" noise (can't think of another word to describe it) from the busy road some distance from the park which went on all day and well into the early hours. We were perhaps more sensitive to this as we all live in the countryside, others would perhaps not even notice it!
This however like the fishing on the park is beyond the parks control and as I stated we could not fault the park itself.

We had a beautiful holiday at Meadowbank. The staff are helpful without being intrusive. The site is kept immaculately clean. The caravans are positioned in rows and well marked so very easy to find your way around. There is a small shop which is well stocked for everyday amenities and a games room. There is no on site entertainment, which is actually a bonus because the place is so peaceful.
We also appreciated the location. It is situated on the bank of the Stour river in a quiet area near the new forest yet not far from the town centre and Bournemouth airport. Also, makes a very good base to visit and explore neighbouring towns, villages and the new forest.

We are having a lovely holiday staying at Meadowbank Holidays. The site is lovely with all the beautiful hanging baskets and flower beds. The luxury touring pitches are excellent. The site is very well maintained and clean and tidy. The toilet block is of a high standard very clean and tidy with fresh flowers by the basins.

I will definately be coming back with my caravan and will recommend it highly to anyone wanting a peaceful relaxing holiday. Staff are friendly and helpful.

This is our second time here (in our touring caravan) but just as good as the first, we tried the last week in July first week in August this time and the weather never let us down, the site is so clean and the shower block is very clean even got fresh flowers in there, the staff are friendly and very helpful, the shop is well stocked, the gardens are cared for everyday, the only thing I would point out is when the site is full the water is not very warm when having a shower (at night) but other than that excellent site not found one yet that lives up to there standard, well done to all the staff.
