We are just back from 3night stay at PREMIER INN WEST CHRISTCHURCH. We arrived earlier than the specified check in time but was not a problem as room was ready. The reception staff were very polite and efficient. Check in was easy and quick which was appreciated after a three hour drive.
The room was pretty much standard for Premier Inns. Tea and coffee making facilities, tv, choice of pillows on the bed, comfortable bed with clean white linen. The bathroom was clean with fresh towels and hand wash/shower gel dispensers. Only negative point was the shower which leaked at the head and the water didn't come out of the rose very well, but it was still adequate. Maid service and fresh towels were supplied every day.
The hotel is located adjacent to the Barrack Road which can be very busy and noisy, but as the room had good secondary glazing this was not a problem for us and we had a quiet nights sleep.
The hotel is also attached to a pub /restaurant but is only ten minutes walk into Christchurch town centre where there is more variety if you want it.
Ideally located for The New Forest, beaches, Bournemouth and Poole as well as many other attractions.
Good base for a short break.

Arrived at sister Premier Inn quite late in the evening (believe it was Christchurch East) to find there were no vacancies. However, the receptionist was most helpful and informed us that there had been a cancellation at Christchurch West which she then helped us to book. We travelled on to Christchurch West to be greeted by another cheerful and very helpful receptionist. Our room was a disabled room which was most comfortable and had all the basics that were needed for a night's accommodation. We ate at the Table Table restaurant and the food was very good. Breakfast the next morning was also excellent for the price paid. Would most definitely like to thank the two ladies on the reception at both Premier Inns for their help that evening.

The hotel last had a room at this price some months back, we were told when asked why we paid nearly £90. That perhaps sums up my view of Premier Inn. In the unlikely event that you stayed here for £29, you'd have a bargain, as they're certainly more pleasant and luxurious than their arch-rival Travelodge. Premier Inn even provide some shampoo in a dispenser on the wall.

So, for £90 it felt like 'real hotel' prices for budget provision. The whole place seems to run by three staff, and boy do they have to work hard. Because they have a Table Table pub next door, it somehow feels like a bigger team, though. The pub is quite nice, I have to say, and has a relaxing feel to it, unlike the mass-produced identical rooms in the Premier Inn. Irrespective of how much you paid, though, the breakfast is pretty good at £8.25, although that's a fixed price nationally.

The room we had was very hot and the ceilings quite low. You can't change the temperature of the room and there's no aircon. Although we couldn't sleep because it was so hot, we didn't quite have the nerve to ask for our money back, thus taking advantage of their money-back promise. I suspect that the heat of the room isn't part of the deal, but I could be wrong.

We booked it because Lennie Henry loves the Premier Inn, and he comes from Dudley, as do we. Not sure how often he stays in these hotels, though: perhaps he can't find a room at £29.

Room Tip: Compare the prices with other full-service hotels first.

My wife and my two children( 9 and 7 years old) stayed in this hotel early this week - the 2 hottest days of the year and it was fab. Breakfast is well worth it and its opposite a sainsburys - if you need to pick extras up. The staff were very friendly and it is very central. We were in room 21 which was on ground floor and heard a little noise, as backed onto car park - though it was minimal. The bathroom was a little small though the room itself was very clean. Well worth the money paid for it and would stay again.

Room Tip: sainburys very close - to get bits and bobs

We stayed for two nights (Sunday & Monday) this week, excellent room on the 2nd floor, immaculate, clean, tidy and a fan provided to keep us cool for what must have been the hottest days of the year so far. My only gripe was the cost of the breakfast at the Table Table next door, £8 + is a lot of money for one breakfast, not many OAPs travel with kids

Room Tip: 2nd floor at the back of the hotel is quieter as you are not facing the main road.

We checked out yesterday from Christchurch West. We were delighted with our ground floor room setup for the three of us (one being an 18 month old boy) for our two night stay. The room was exceptionally clean and we were allocated a ground floor room. The cotbed provided was very clean with a fitted sheet in it. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room which was nice for the early mornings before breakfast. The breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was fine just avoid the baked beans (they are horrid and should be removed from the menu!)
The customer service at the hotel was superb, we were pleasantly surprised. We didn't hear very much at night but they have been due to our powerful ear plugs! We would book again when we viist our friends again.

Room Tip: one that is located away from the reception area and doesn't over look the premier inn car park

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights last week and the stay was generally good except for the heat in the room and the inability to cool it. A desk fan was provided, however, even with the window open as wide as it could go and the fan running flat out it was very hot (even when raining outside and not all that hot externally). Also with the windows open, the noise from the nearby retail outlets and train line made it hard to hear the TV without turning it up to an unsociable level.

We had the Premier breakfast which was generous and tasty and also ate in the restaurant on one evening which was equally good.

The staff were all friendly and the room/general areas were clean, if a little run down looking.

We would stay again - but probably in winter when the temperature shouldn't be as much of an issue!
