I recently stayed in the pines on business for two weeks and was very satisfied with the experience. At £25 per night for an en suite room, the pines is as much as 50% cheaper than the other hotels in the surrounding area.

The rooms are simple and relatively small, but contain everything you would need, including tea and coffee, kettle, digital television, additional pillows, fridge and storage space.

The inclusive breakfast offers cereals, full english breakast, croissants or a combination of your choice.

Chippenham town centre is just a short walk away, including travel and shopping facilities as well as some nice walks, despite the fact the hotel is next to a mainroad the rooms at the back are very quiet and peaceful.

If you are on a budget, the pines is a fine place to stay.

Room Tip: rooms at the back are quieter

Booked to stay here after looking on their website, most other places in the area were booked up, first thoughts were it looks cheap and cheerful, how wrong could I be! more like cheap and dreadful! The Pines is a disgusting filthy place, which I would not recommend to anyone!

Room Tip: Don't get one

Without doubt the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. Everything was dirty from the carpet to the beds and especially the bathroom.
The pillows were stained and the room door didn't lock from the inside.
The room smelled of stale urine.
Unapproachable staff who answered the intercom with "what do you want".
The place was so dirty I didn't dare try the breakfast.
A complete waste of money, I would have sooner slept in my car.

Horrific, to call this place filthy is an understatement. The rooms were dirty, smelly and quite obviously the bedding hadn't been changed from the guests before us.
There was only one pillow on the double and for a family of 4 we were provided with only 2 hand towels for our over night stay. The plastic tumblers next to the sink were stained.
The bathroom was also disgusting, the bath was stained and the toilet seat broken. There were no towels in any of the bathrooms we used at this hotel. The shower curtain was hanging off the rail and had patches of mildew.
We found the staff to be rude, unhelpful and at one point during our stay confrontational.
We found the place to be so dirty we couldn't even bring ourselves to stay for breakfast and left at the earliest possible opportunity the next morning.
The car park was unaccessible due to it's location down a very narrow alleyway at the side of the hotel, I simply don't know how any car could access this area.
The free wifi code didn't work.
Don't be fooled by the positive reviews this hotel has on this site as I find it hard to believe that any person who had stayed here could have anything good to stay about it.

Just to advise you dont really get this a b&b just because is cheap. Just put more money and get better hotel than the pines.
We got room number 1 on the ground floor and I am sure he didnt clean this room for a few months!!! Carpet wasnt clean if you open wardrobe smell is coming out. In the draws still some clothes probably from the previous customers. All this dust around and I am not talking about the shower yet!! Didnt even try that as I was scared to go there!!
Didnt get a proper sleep as someone was probably fighting on above room. Really terrible experience....

This is one of the worst places i have stayed at in my life! I have travelled quite a bit, and i have been to some really good places and some not so good.

But Pines in Chippenham is the Worst!!

I stayed here for almost one week, they never changed the bed sheets once.

When i asked for breakfast in the morning for a full english! The beans were cold freshly taken out of can!

When i went to get some tea, it had silver shiny stuff in the top and tasted horrible.

The Rooms smell, the carpet is unclean, the bathrooms have scale on them.

If you own a car trying to get it to the car park at the back is nightmare, you will end up scratching at least one of your side mirrors because the entrance is so tight.

If you can avoid this place do so, because i can guarantee it you wont enjoy staying here!!

Room Tip: Dont get a room here!
