Splitting our long journey from Kent to the Pembroke Ferry to Ireland,The Angel seemed to be a good bet but never having stayed in a Best Western before we did not know what to expect.
The directions in the Main Best Western Hotel Brochure were short and accurate and we managed to find the Hotel, which is 15 minutes off the M4, without any difficulty which is praise indeed when navigating Chippenham!
Reception were friendly and professional and our room in the new block adjacent and overlooking the Courtyard was superb.Great en suite and wonderfully comfortable bed. A T.V the size of a cinema and wonder of wonders ...Room Service. We were too tired to struggle to the Restaurant for our evening meal, after driving all day and were delighted to have a meal and a beer delivered to our room.
Reception very kindly used their sat nav to print out a map for the final leg of our journey which impressed us. Breakfast was served in a bright Dining room by a most efficient, friendly and well turned - out Waitress. All in all, a most excellent Hotel. The only downside is that if you are used to Budget accommodation and prices then this will be regarded as a bit steep. However the experience is something to savor and we wouldn't hesitate to try other hotels in the group based on this one night stay. Thoroughly recommended!More
