Spent one night on a dinner, bed and breakfast package for £129.
Room was nice large 'country house' style. Comfortable bed. Pleasant bathroom. Gardens are pleasant.
The bar was a bit disappointing. It doesn't open out onto the gardens and was, I felt, a bit perfunctory. This was carried through to the restaurant which appeared somewhat stark. The food was decidedly average. Nothing wrong with it.
Staff all pleasant and helpful.
My main note is that there is no where in the bar/restaurant where you can 'get out of the way' to have a confidential business discussion. So, if that is your reason for visiting, think twice.
There was nothing wrong with it but it didn't stand out. Having said that I think it was decent value given some of the other places I looked at and I'd be happy to go back.
