A convenient overnight stop heading west from London this quiet country pub offered above average food in a rural location. The 'approach' to the side guest entry was via what was almost a 'service' area but the welcome was friendly and efficient. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable although the breakfast room was slightly spartan and overlooked the everyday kitchen, however the co-owner chef and his wife provided a good 'English' breakfast. The inn apart there is little to see and do within the hamlet although there are some pleasant walks to help stimulate an appetite.

Our second meal at the Foxham Inn within a few weeks and this was just as good as the first. Top quality beef and lamb and amazing yorkshires. Starters and puddings were superb. This is a real find and the owners are lovely. A little gift of homemade biscuits on leaving, such a nice touch.

Lovely airy room with a modern feel. Room above a little country pub/restaurant. We also had a nice evening meal there. Set in a little village so handy to have a car. Nice countryside views from the room window

stayed here for one night on business. really friendly welcome, lovely room and en-suite. As it was dark when I arrived, didn't realise what a nice location it was until the morning when I was leaving.

Owners are really friendly and I had a lovely breakfast. There were more than enough options for breakfast too. in the end I had the 'Half Foxham' and couldn't finish it!

Great place to stay and a friendly atmosphere. it was also spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfy. Recommended!!!

Our family of 6 American tourists wanted to have a "road less travelled" experience and we decided Foxham was the place to do it. The rooms are kept impeccably clean, they are new with a nice modern bathroom. Sarah equips the bathroom with lovely bath products. The rooms are small but very well furnished. Tea and coffee facilities are supplied as well. Sarah is a lovely hostess - great sense of humor. We enjoyed talking with her and Neil and their son is so handsome - the quintessential curly ginger headed kid. Our kids - 10 and 11, loved playing table tennis and having the pub to our selves in the morning. Dinner was delicious - venison, trout, fried fish; dessert was to die for. Breakfast was hearty and plentiful - they have a special black pudding they order from Scotland which is excellent (and we're not fans of black pudding). We had a comfy stay, yummy food, and enjoyed our hosts so much. By the way, this is a good place if you want to visit Avebury Stones at night. Do stay here if you have a car - its a memorable non-touristy experience.

Booked late in the afternoon for an overnight business stay. Room very comfortable and nicely appointed but the bonus was the excellent food and the friendly welcome. Dinner of snails, steak and apple crumble with ice cream. All my favourites on one menu topped off the next morning by one of the best English breakfasts I have ever had. Just keeping fingers crossed I have to stay over for a few more nights during the winter months.

A great getaway for a night or just a meal. The menu is wonderful. The owners double up as Chef, Bartender, server and do a spectactular job. Very friendly and cosy. Everything about the property is first class. Would highly recommend.
