The Bridge House is a Wetherspoons pub in the heart of Chippenham. It is hidden away at the back of the Borough Parade shopping centre but can be easily reached by following the riverside path down the side of Superdrug on the Town Bridge. It opens at 7am for breakfast (bar opens at 9am) and serves food all day and into the evening. Families are welcome during the day.
It’s located in a modernish building at a riverside location. Although it has a modern feel about it they’ve done their best with decor and pictures on the walls. It’s always busy as the food and drinks are very reasonably priced!
Being a Wetherspoons you know what to expect, a fairly extensive range of good-value food and drink but also the queues! Most Wetherspoons appear to be understaffed which often means a long wait to get served, especially if everyone in front of you wants a fresh coffee! However, I have to say that keeping the staff numbers down helps pass the savings on to the customers, so if you want cheap food etc then you can’t expect the place to be overstaffed with expensive employees!
Overall it is a cheep and cheerful place with reasonable quality food, though it can get very busy at times.
