If you want a great breakfast which is hot and a great big mug of steaming tea, then this the place to go.

This cosy eccentric Irish cafe is chokka full of Memorabilia.

There is a jukebox playing mainly 50s 60s music and quite frankly it is a delight.

You can always say that a "fry up" is a "fry up" and one is much the same as the other. Not so ....and at jollies this is demonstrated by the attention to detail by the cooks and the quality of the ingredients that they start with. It's obvious that the eggs are free range and as fresh as fresh can be, bacon and sausage is excellent quality and the ability to build your own breakfast is a bonus although the set menu us also adequate. Prices are not the cheapest but are set right for the quality of the grub that is served up. Good work Jollies, keep it up

I smoked out this lovely restaurant, my self, Having walked passed, several times. The menus had flexibility, and the giveaway for a good restaurant, as always nearly always full.
The first thing that meets your eye is the cosy pub like decor. You will feel relaxed straight off.
Yes the cooks, and staff, are working there butts off, to give you efficient prompt service.
You have the unique opportunity to build your own menu, indicating the flexibility of the cooks.
Not unnoticed is the idea, of napkins and cutlery right there at your table,in a special holder.
No having to get up, or ask for these items.
I have had many breakfasts out, but this one at the Jolly Irish, in Chippenham, was superb.
The meal was cooked to perfection, tomatoes poached eggs and bacon done to a tee.
So if you won't a living breakfast experience, travel to Chippenham, be there before nine if you want a seat.
Take your taste buds with you and enjoy
Cheers

Pros; really friendly service; helpful; great location in centre of town; bacon & poached egg sandwich on fresh crusty hand-cut bread was excellent

Cons; Cappaccino was like drinking hot milk with a hint of coffee. Folks - ask for a double shot of coffee!

Would I go again - most definitely...
