Recently visited The Westbrook for Sunday lunch, wow, it was fantastic. Best meal out we have had in a long time. We had roast beef, which was tender and succulent, home made yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, cabbage, broccoli and new season carrots - delicious!
Cant wait to return and try out the new menu.

Dined with friends on a Saturday night. On arrival we were greeted with the car park being full which was a good sign - good job we had phoned ahead. Quaint building and decor in the bar area. We ordered drinks - the barmaid had not heard of Disaranno! and then were ushered to a side area where we could make our dinner choices. The view of the beer garden in the summer evening was quite delightful. 30 minutes later and we were waiting to be ushered to our table, unable to catch the eye of the waitress of landlady. Eventually our order was taken and we were still left in the side area not knowing what was happening, we appreciate this is an older method of serving customers but haven't experienced this for eons. We were eventually ushered to our seats. The dining area, although just the other side of the bar had a different ambience, more upmarket. Our meals were then brought to us promptly. The food was good, hot and tasty and overall was of a reasonable quality. The lemon ice cream cake was immensely tasty. The chocolate brownie, although rich and also tasty was very soft and came across as not being set, it had did not have any firmness to it. Overall a pleasant experience. Reasonably priced - even with a £5 discount voucher available on there website. Would return in the future but there are other places that have much more appeal.

Visited here recently to catch up with an old work friend.Staff are all very friendly & chef came out to check our meals were ok,which they were.
We both had the black pudding with poached egg & crispy bacon to start with, this was delicious!
I followed with pork tenderloin stuffed with figs, spinach & wrapped in pancetta served with a ginger & apricot sauce, again this was a delight to eat, maybe a little more sauce for my liking but otherwise very good indeed. My friend had the beef stroganoff with rice & she also enjoyed the very tender meat in this dish,it also came with veg which she wasn't expecting, but was still good.We rested for a while before deciding on desserts, there was no rush for us which was lovely.I indulged in the gorgeous chocolate brownie with ice cream-fantastic!My friend had the blackberry & apple tart (I think!)which she also enjoyed very much.
We will definately be dining here again in the not too distant future.

After recently moving to the area, my wife and I decided to try some local pubs/restaurants to find our favourite! We saw this pub on Groupon, so took up the offer.

Located in a lovely area, and old style pub with a warm welcome greeted us on arrival. We ordered different main meals and were served with drinks. Staff were polite and friendly.

The food was lovely - and there was lots of it.

I would definately go back to this pub - very nice!

Pleasantly surprised when we went for dinner on Friday evening, the staff were warm and welcoming, the food came quickly and was very tasty. The pub was fairly full and the atmosphere was good. We would definately return if we are that side of Chippenham, even without a voucher.
