Description: Park Restaurant, part of the Lucknam Park Hotel in Wiltshire, is a timelessly elegant Michelin-starred affair. Located in a listed Palladian mansion, the restaurant resides in the stately home’s original ballroom. With magnificent chandeliers and Venetian mirrors, the restaurant has a grand view overlooking 500 acres of parkland and a mile-long drive lined with beech and lime trees. The menu, overseen by Head Chef Hywel Jones, makes use of the finest local and organic produce, as well as the hotel’s herb garden. Our favourite dishes include the pot roast of Roundway Hill pork belly with pan-fried foie gras, caramelised apples, baby leeks, girolles and sauce aux espices; and the pan roast Scottish diver scallops with tomato tatin, aubergine puree and aged balsamic dressing.

“Another Michelin star experience”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

Tried the chefs taster menu for £105. Overall the food was very good, though portions a little small for the price compared to other chefs taster menus we have had - Le Manoir being one example. The only minor gripe food wise, was they did not serve any biscuits with the cheese - only bread and some fried wafer concoction (too fatty). As one food writer pointed out - cheese without biscuits is like an actor without a stage or a kiss without a squeeze.
The service was very good but have enjoyed better in terms of personal attention , for example at The Priory in Bath when it came to the cheese board we were given an excellent presentation about the origin of the cheese, taste , which biscuits suited which cheese etc and the service felt we were being given much more personal attention. At the Park it was not so individualised.
Nevertheless, an enjoyable evening

“For a special evening... Excellent deserts ”
Reviewed 24 August 2014 via mobile

This restaurant is located in a country side former wealthy families' estate. The entrance to the park is marvellous. I went there with my wife in a late August's evening to celebrate my birthday. We had the three courses a la carte menu but there is also an eight course to taste with correspondent wine selection. As a first plate I had the langoustines which were reasonable but not outstanding. My wife had the foie gras two ways, and she was delighted. The sea bass in the main course for my wife was somehow disappointing but with some excellent elements in the dish. I had the pigeon and the star of my dish was the foie gras. However, the best of the meal were the deserts, real Michelin star quality, with a true wow factor. The service is at a good level. The bread is medium to good quality for this kind of restaurant. As a tip, skip the initial cocktails, I had one of the worsts dry Martini of my life.
Overall 0.75 Michelin star

“Excellent food but over priced taster menu”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

Excellent menu and very tasty enjoyable food. Had a 6 course taster menu for £105, was very high standard of food and enjoyed by all. Was not worth the money though as it was felt the portions were very small across all courses. having dined in a number of Michelin and none Michelin restaurants for a lot less in price we felt the food was over priced but very tasty and nicely presented. Was just not enough of what was given. Good cheese selection. Dining room could do with a little spruce but excellent dining service especially as they were hugely accommodating with their menu choices- we substituted a couple of courses on the taster menu to accommodate our tastes. Wine excellent. Did find though the halibut in the brasserie restaurant at this hotel was far better than the red mullet on the Michelin menu and could do with a swap! Would recommend but perhaps the normal three course menu for value for money!

“Amazing!!”

Seriously the best meal I've ever had! The foie gras melted in your mouth, very fun experience. I'd love to eat here again.
