My Mum and I have dined here several times now and never fail to be astounded by the service, the choice, the quality of the food and the overall ambiance. I honestly have nothing but praise for this establishment. They clearly care a great deal about the customer experience but they also have a breadth of menu and a fabulous carvery that I doubt can be equaled anywhere else except maybe one of their other 7 outlets. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Devon!

Simply a lovely a lovely pub with an exquisite restaurant. Great selection on the carvery and plenty of it! All in all, we dined there on five occasions over the twelve day period of our holiday and I think that speaks for itself. Will be there again this coming June.

On the main road from Newton Abbot to Torquay at the edge of Kingskerswell nearest the ring road. A very popular venue. Forecourt parking is usually easy but near impossible at peak times like Sunday lunch. For the same reason booking is wise at such times. Pleasant decor and cheerful staff. There is an excellent carvery option for under £11 and there are daily specials as well as the a la carte menu. The steak and chicken dishes are tasty and adequately portioned. The battered fish and chips were the only disappointment with bony dry tasteless fish and soggy chips. Otherwise all the food was a cut above the norm. Sweets we never managed so cannot comment. Well worth a visit and great for groups and families.

Stopped here on way to torquay for a few days. Had a lovely carvery lots of choice of meats and vegetables. They had lots of other food on menu including steaks and local fish. There was light bites for the less hungery, and a good menu for children, also a pudding selection to die for.We had a very warm welcome and good service. When we go that way later in the year we will be calling in again.
