We have stayed at a number of premier Inn hotels and choose them for the luxury king size beds, and the consistent standards. However that is not what we received here, firstly the bed was not a king size which for my parent who is over 6 ft meant his feet dangled over the edge, when I asked at reception about this I got a frosty response stating they only have king size in the disabled room. As well as the bed not being the luxury king size hypnos that they advertise it felt unstable and far to soft Our room had a musty smell to it and the plug hole gurgled loudly when you turn the bathroom light on. We also decided to try a premier inn breakfast for the first time here- the first day although waiting 40mins for it when it came it was hot and cooked nicely. Unfortunately the same could not be said for our second day another 50min wait and when it arrived my partners came with the addition of 2 hairs minus the beans he ordered. The eggs were like bullets and mushrooms and tomatoes were cold, we did not bother complaining as the staff seemed rushed of feet, I even saw abother guest helping and putting out the crossiant and toast for them. In conclusion I shall definitely not be choosing this premier inn again, which is a shame as I normally like my stays with premier inn and look forward to them. On a positive note though the location is good for the race course and with a tesco just across the road for supplies. Also the lady receptionist was very friendly.
