We have picked up a new bad habit! Our Saturday morning now consists of en early walk on dartmoor with our newborn followed by a great breakfast at ullacombe.

Lots of free parking
Lots of amazing produce to buy
Good breakfast choice and fantastic quality.
Great customer service
Free additional tea or coffee and extra toast and marmalade if you want it.
Proper big pot of tea.
Really good baby change facilities.
Breast feeding friendly

One day when we go itll be nice enough to sit outside in the sun.

Well done to the staff here. It renewed my hope that england CAN do customer service and quality food.

Not only a great farm shop but also a hearty breakfast for a good price. The fact that it was really busy at opening time is testament to great food and service.

We are locals and are fairly regular visitors to Ullacombe Farm. The quality of the produce is not in question, but the service definitely is. We usually go for the breakfast, however over the last few months have been appalled by the service. Recently we were served with our tea but the breakfast never arrived and we had to go and chase the staff and were served 45 minutes after ordering. Then today we arrived before 11:00am only to be told that they had run out of breakfast ingredients! The staff were seen taking a loaf of bread from the Farm Shop for toast, but it seemed beyond anyone to raid the plentiful supply of sausages, bacon, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms from the shop. We ended up having a pot of tea from a chipped tea pot that had cobwebs on it. The staff were mainly made up of youngsters, but there never seems to be anyone in charge, whilst they appear to be pleasant enough they need supervision or at least some direction. The quality of the food is very good and it appears busy there most times we have been and the owners appear to be too complacent and don't think they have to work at maintaining the standards and customer care. The food is not cheap enough to ensure you return irrespective of the service, so its time for the owners to reassess or they will lose the local custom that keeps them going through the winter.

Really lovely cafe, the menu was limited ( but this is not a bad thing, as you knows it's fresh), the food was cooked to order and was sourced locally. The flapjacks are to die for. We had the chili and it was described as mild and if we had wanted it spiced up that would have been accomodated. The mushroom soup was excellant. The staff were extremly helpful will definitly be going back again. We did not have children with us but there were high chairs available if needed.
