“Best Steak Pie in Scotland”
Reviewed 13 November 2013

As an aficionado of the Great British Steak Pie I have just found the Best Steak & Ale pie I have ever tasted. It is made with Prime Local Steak cooked in a Mixture of 3 of The Lade inns Real Ales Brewed specially for them. The Staff are friendly and helpful and very efficient. There is a Restaurant and Bar. meals are available in both, The Bar is very welcoming with a roaring log fire. On Saturday nights there is live entertainment. Booking is recommended if you want to eat on a Saturday Night. There is also a Real Ale Shop attached to the Inn with over 150 Scottish Ales and Beers available.

“Excellent home cooked food served wih a smile”
Reviewed 31 October 2013

A friend and i popped in for lunch after our Salmon fishing was cut short due to an all day downpour. From the warm log fire to the friendly service, we were made to feel welcome. Excellent menu, lovely bowl of pea and ham soup to start followed by the best steak pie I have tasted in a long time. Will certainly return to sample more of these home cooked delights.

“Very disappointed”
Reviewed 19 October 2013

We are staying at Tigh Mor and were advised to book as the music nights get busy. Called in on Friday to establish the music and check the day. Was advised that it was Saturday and we should book around 6.30 - 6.45 as the band started setting up at 7 ish. Chose from the menu...quite expensive for pub food. Finished main course...then we didn't see a waiter for the rest of the evening. Wasn't offered desert or coffee. Made our way to the bar to pay. Wasn't asked if we enjoyed our meal or given any indication that they were glad of our custom. No music as advertised. Would definitely not recommend.

Hello, Firstly I would like to apologise for your experience at The Lade Inn. We are a family run small business and we like to think that all of our customers are made to feel welcome, well looked after and leave with happy memories. On this occasion I am very sorry that we failed on this. With regards to the music we have live music throughout the Summer on Fridays and Saturday's as of October when we go into the Winter season we only do music the first Friday of the month but every Saturday. I am not sure where you heard about the music but we have a full band diary on our website which states who is playing and when. The bands always start at 8.30pm or around that time but we do advise that customers get into the bar early to be guaranteed a seat so that is why you would have been told to book your table early as we dont like customers to feel like they have to rush their meal and head through to the bar.
We are a pub/restaurant and our prices are reflected by the area we are in. We have all prices on our website, menu board at the front door and on our menu's therefor if price is something you take into consideration then maybe check this before booking a table. With regards to the staff not coming back to your table this is not acceptable. All staff are trained to come and check on tables during their meal and they definitely should be coming back to clear plates and ask about desserts and coffees. All I can do about this is assure you that I will be having a meeting with all staff involved and I am sorry for your bad experience.
