We went here once or twice in the past, but, unfortunately the place has closed down after the Tourist Information Centre was moved to the Main Street.

Loved the little screening of Rob Roy Story. Very informational and lovely little cinema and shop. Friendly staff and well worth a visit, we were lucky to be there on a quiet day.

Went with family today and It was my first time in Calendar and we went for a day trip, there was a group of 7 of us
We drove by the place twice before finding it and we had to ask a passer by where it was.
We were not expecting it to be an old church,in fact we didnt know what to expect at all.
When we went inside i asked the friendly man at the desk the cost of entry to museum and he told me it was not a museum it was just a film that we could see regarding the story of Rob Roy.
We are all from Scotland and to our shame not one of us knew our history about him.
With regards to the cost it was cheap as chips, kids under 16 get in free adults £1.50 and concessions £1
Our party was 3 kids,2 adults,1 concession and a carer,total cost for 7 of us was £4.00
We were all shown into a small theatre where the film was shown it lasted approx half an hour.
So we all now know the story of the legend Rob Roy.
Would recommend for a cheap and interesting place to visit.

Beware of the Ice cream shop right outside, the cost for 7 small cones £15.50 as nice as they were certainly not worth the money you would be cheaper buying a tub from supermarket and a box of wafers lol

I was initially reluctant to visit the Rob Roy centre as in a previous life it was the church I was married in. Inside, the transformation has been sympathetically done and there is a wealth of information, both from the very well-informed staff and also the many maps, books, interactive displays etc. Lots of quality goods to buy too.
