“Nice nature walk to interesting falls and bridge”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Definitely something that should be done if you find yourself in Callander (or even Stirling and you want to get out into nature). The walk from the car park is pretty easy and very pretty through the woods. The falls and bridge are fun to see and scamper around on, and a wonderful spot for some good photos. Well worth the trip!

“beautiful, peaceful walk”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

Bracklinn falls is a wonderful walk and an easy day trip for those based in Stirling (You can take bus 59 from the Stirling center and arrive at Callander center in ~40min). From Callander center, the start of the hike is a short walk. The hike to the Falls is well groomed and fairly easy. I went on a weekday morning and only saw a few other hikers. The Falls are beautiful and there are several great photo opportunities. My only caution is that the additional trails are not particularly well marked and are not always open. In addition to the Bracklinn Falls trail, I hiked on several other trails and discovered the Upper Crag trail was closed. I did not stop at the tourist center first but would recommend doing so if you are planning on connecting several trails to ensure all are accessible. While I did have to retrace my steps, I still had a wonderful day walking in Callander and would highly recommend it. As a female, solo traveler, I felt safe on these trails. There are also additional walking trails nearby that are worth checking out.

Been there many times in the 70s 7 80s. It now has a much easier path to follow & a brand new bridge has been built.
