“Quality B&B with friendly hosts”

We stayed here last night for our anniversary. We had a lovely welcome from Pete and Kate who showed us around their lovely B&B. Our room was beautifully furnished and we were offered a tea and coffee to enjoy in the comfortable residents lounge.

Pete gave some great advice on where to eat nearby for our evening meal .

Our room was very comfortable and clean with its own en suite. Breakfast was really good, lots of choices from cereals, fruit and pastries to the full cooked breakfast. Fresh coffee or tea. Superb.

On top of all this what made Coppice House even more impressive were all,the little touches that Pete and Katie had thought of. DVDs and books in the residents lounge, to individual toiletries and a chocolate each , a bottle of water and a jar of sweets in your room.

We had gotten used to staying in hotels after a less than exciting stay in a B&B years ago. I have to say this has been a great reintroduction to B&Bs. Kind of makes hotels seems terribly impersonal now. Just hope if we stay in a B&B further away it will be as good.

We'll definitely be back and be recommending it.

Room Tip: We stayed in a very comfortable twin room, lovely furnishings and the residents lounge is just oppos...

I spotted this lovely building on the main street on returning from the Highlands, I knocked the door as passing trade and was delighted that a room was available.
I was not disappointed either.
This lovely Victorian Villa has been transformed into a warm and welcoming B and B by present owners Pete and Katie.
Nothing was too much trouble and Pete made a very welcoming coffee on my arrival.
My room was the smallest of 3 letting rooms but it was immaculate, comfortable and very good value for money. Little extras like bottled water and choc mints were a lovely surprise.
There is a Residents Lounge situated on the same floor as the rooms, and has an assortment of DVD's, large Screen TV, Chess board and several other goodies to keep us guests entertained.
Breakfast did not disappoint either, first class - I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with toast, it was delicious!.
Pete and Katie have only been in the business a short while but already they work as hardened experts, I was very impressed.
The only downfall was the fact that I liked it so much I would have liked to have stayed another night but the Coppice was full! (It was hardly a surprise) !
I would definitely recommend this B and B to anyone who appreciates high standards of service, cleanliness, great food and terrific value for money!
I'll be back.

Lovely, clean and comfortable room coupled with great hospitality and warmth from host Pete. A delicious and hearty cooked breakfast for us but we noticed there was plenty of choice for alternatives, with loads of choice of fruit, cereal, juices and yogurts available buffet style. Will definitely be back in drier times!

Me, my friends and their baby stayed there for two nights and we all agreed it was a very good choice.
First of all the owners -Pete and Katie- are very helpful and always willing to attend to our needs.
Pete knows a lot about the surrounding areas and can give great advise for walks or visits to places around Callander and further up.
The building itself is beautiful with spacious rooms, good views and a lovely sitting room where we could read a book from the bookshelf, play backgammon or just sit, relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.
The rooms are great, clean, and the bathrooms the same.
Very good breakfast with lots of choices that will satisfy everyone's needs.
It's a great place to stay and from there walk or drive around.
We really enjoyed it and my next holidays will have as starting point the Coppice in Callander.

We booked the Coppice House, as an overnight stop on our way further North, on the basis of the previous good reviews; we were certainly not disappointed; from the moment we arrived at this distinctive building, that the owners, clearly and understandably love, we had the impression that they would go to any lengths to make sure that our stay as enjoyable as possible. On arrival we were given (complimentary) shortbread and tea in the very pleasant residents sitting room, which overlooks the river and meadows, with the mountains beyond. The bedroom was well furnished and the bed linen of high quality. The breakfast choice and extent was exceptional. On the basis of that night, we broke our return journey home, at Coppice House, which had not been our original intention. Next time we go this way we will be back.

Room Tip: We booked the superior room, with the view to the river and mountains, which we considered well wort...

Just returned from a couple of nights in Coppice House....WOW!! Beautiful building, well furnished, comfortable and warm. Pete and Katie fantastic friendly hosts and offer a breakfast feast with all you could ask for. Pete is very knowledgeable about the local area and walks.
Regretfully we only booked 2 nights but would have liked to have stayed longer.

Room Tip: The superior room is large with a settee and comfy chair. Bathroom with bath plus over bath shower.

Thank you for the great review.

You were both the perfect guests and we were so sorry that we could not offer you an additional night but at least it has given you a taste of what Callander and the Loch Lomond National Park has to offer.

Callander has prven to so many people to be the perfect hub from which to explore Stirling, Oban and Glencoe, Perth and St.Andrews not to mention all the Loch's and mountains.

I know you are planning another visit and we look forward to seeing you both again in the very near future.

Best wishes,

Pete

My girlfriend and I were two of the first guests to stay at The Coppice soon after it first opened under Pete and Katie's ownership when Pete was still busy putting some small finishing touches to this lovely old house which they are obviously both totally passionate about. A year or so later, in November 2013 (for my birthday), my partner, Rob, and I booked in at The Coppice. Rob was very impressed. Pete welcomed us and spoke proudly of how he enjoyed running The Coppice and of the satisfaction he had got from modernising the property. It was great to see Coppice House now completely finished, sympathetically decorated and furnished in the best of tastes with so many thoughtful little touches. The Superior Double Bedroom was very comfortable and the en suite facilities beautifully clean and tidy. The guest lounge with large leather sofas offers a tranquil space to sit and chill, or mix with the other residents. Breakfast choices are endless, and nothing is too much trouble for Pete and Katie. And their knowledge of the history and geography of the area, and their attention to detail is all part and parcel of the caring hospitality they provide. Lovely people and a lovely home which they have opened up for us all to enjoy. We will definitely be back.

Dear Rob & June,

I think the most rewarding compliment we can receive is when guests such as yourself return again and again. We not only enjoy renewing old acquaintances but as we still have so many ideas for the house we love to show people how far the house has come on since your last visit.

Its also lovely to plan different and alternative days out as well as revisiting the old favorites such as Loch Katrine, the Falls and Crags and new eating venues that we may have discovered recently.

So start planning your next trip and we will see what we can come up with to surprise you again.

WE look forward to meeting you both again soon,

Best wishes,
