Stayed here for two nights (1st of five B7Bs) as we begin our 11-day drive around Scotland. The locals assured us that the glorious sunshine we arrived to is the exception rather than the norm. Anyway, this great B&B is a great base to explore Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
We were assigned Room 1 on the second (top) floor. This is a family room with a sofa bed for my daughter. Room 9 is on the ground floor, which also where you will find the well-stocked bar (have to try the local whiskeys, right?) and restaurant in addition to the reception/office area.
We arrived to a warm welcome by Susan, the owner. There's a small parking area just in front of the property. Breakfast is sumptuous and served normally between 8:30-9:30.
There's a Tesco Express just a short distance away as you head towards Callander. There's also a number of restaurants there but do try the restaurant at the hotel. We had the roast chicken and sirloin of venison. Both excellent choices!More
