We only had time for one night, but everything about this place is lovely. Would happily stay again. The breakfasts were wonderful and met some really interesting guests at brekkie also. One of the nice things of staying in B&Bs.
Thanks Lucy & Syd.

We recently stayed for a couple of nights with Lucy and Sid and found a very warm welcome to greet our arrival.
Nothing was too much trouble for them but was provided with the minimum of fuss.
Breakfast was of the utmost quality and plenty of choices to cater for all tastes.
When in the area would definitely use again.

Room Tip: The Kirtle room overlooks the road at the front but has excellent soundproofing and first class en s...

Booked for a 4 night stay in Callander, Roslin Cottage proved to be the ideal base for a relaxing stay. Sid and Lucy's welcome was warm and helpful, with a chat about breakfast (wheat and dairy-free no problem) and a little tour of the cottage with hot drink-making facilities up on the bedroom landing. My room, Cherryview was ideal for me, overlooking the beautiful garden, ensuite with shower and heated towel rail. Guests are also able to use the lounge downstairs. Bed very comfortable and I slept very well. Breakfast is comprehensive: my choices incuded porridge, fruit bowl, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, bacon and there were many other delicious possibilities all freshly cooked. I spent the days walking and cycling in and around Callander; it is a great town, plenty to do and see and it was a pleasure to get back to Roslin Cottage to wind down. I look forward to visiting again.

Room Tip: Rooms are not big as this is a cottage but all are very comfortable.

Stayed at Roslin Cottage for three nights in May 12 as part of a wider walking trip to Scotland.

The room we stayed in was very small however is compensated for in other areas. Breakfast was fantastic - full cooked Scottish was one of the best I have had, however there are a wide range of alternatives available (we also had smoked haddock and kedigree, which were both very nice).

The owners are extremely helpful (good knowledge of the area) and friendly, and their whole house is open for guests, including a spacious lounge and a lovely garden.

Little touches like DVD's to watch in the room, a range of books and a wide range of teas and coffees made this a wonderful stay also.

Highly recommended!

My boyfriend surprised we with a trip to scotland for valentine 2011. We first went to Edinburgh and then drove to Callender.
We stayed at Roslin cottage for one night. Sid greeted us when we arrived and he showed us around the house and made us feel very welcome. He said we are more than welcome to use any dvd's, games etc.
The room was lovely, clean and comfortable, decorated to a lovely standard. Bed comfy. We had a lovely bathroom with a jaccuzzi bath which i though was brilliant becasue i love to relax and soak!
Breakfast was lovely, the best we have had in scotland! Lots of choice.

The area that the hotel is located is beautiful, the best views and scenery ever! we drove around the immediate area and viewed the lochs, rivers, falls etc. just amazing! Good area for walking or driving.

Would recommend and will definitely return!

Roslin Cottage is a gorgeous little B&B oozing character and charm. None of the rooms are huge, and that's part and parcel of such a historic cottage... but the welcome was huge and we were made to feel quite comfortable. The breakfasts here were fabulous.....I always appreciate a good breakfast, and this one was just superb. I had the vegetarian option of the Mushroom Tarte Tatin, and I have to say, the flavours were just brilliant! It's situated a few blocks from the main CBD of Callander, but its an easy walk and all flat. It's certainly lovely and quiet at night and no traffic noise to speak of. This B&B is highly recommended for so many reasons!

Thanks Sid & Lucy - if ever we are in Callander again, would happily stay again.

Room Tip: Dont worry about which room you get, you'll like them all. We opted for the mid-size Ben Ledi r...

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the beginning of October when the weather was miserable, and still managed to have a very warm, welcoming and relaxing time. The owners were exceptional hosts, and went above and beyond to make sure we were at ease. The setting and cottage is beautiful, and although it is situated at the edge of the town, nowhere is really that far from anywhere else in Callander; this coupled with the excellent walks and beautiful scenery meant even walking to and from the cottage in rain was a really enjoyable exeperience. The room and cottage were lovely, and the breakfast provided was astonishing. Every effort is made to ensure you have a great stay and we very much did.
