The directions to the apartment were first class, stunning location overlooking the canal with much going on with the canoes & pedalows. On arrival we were met by Cathy who welcomed us to the property, showed us around and I asked for a demonstration on the range cooker, which she gladly did. She also explained that there were full instruction in the blue house manual which we were grateful of. There was a cream tea left and a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge. The kitchen was fully equipped and came with all necessary condiments and even some sugar! In addition to the lounge TV there were ones in every bedroom. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well set up, would we recommend it YES, and should we want to return to Bude this would be our first choice.
The apartment is a few hundred yards away from all local amenities, including the pub, post office and the breakwater where there are several shops and cafes.
The whole block has only 2 apartments in it - the ground floor is for parking and includes a store area for surf boards, wind breaks and barbecues etc (all free to use). The first floor is another apartment and the second floor along with the internal mezzanine floor is Kingfishers.
The place is truly amazing.
It has everything you need and is furnished to a high standard.
There is plenty of room for a family of 6 with the master bedroom incredibly large with a great en suite and seating area to relax and look out of the window over the canal.
The main living area has a balcony overlooking the canal where kayaks and canoes go up and down all day which is great to see people laughing and enjoying themselves.
There is a small garden to the rear that is fenced in to protect young children, great for having a small barbecue.
I go back all or most years due to the high standard of accommodation and the convenience of being so close to the town. Off road parking is also a bonus.
See you next year
