I’m a tad disappointed that this little hidden gem is now fully exposed to the world, I live in a better town just over the boarder in to Devon called Holsworthy, where thankfully we have our own hidden gems, where no emmets visit, however the “tunnel” was always a favoured spot for myself and husband to visit when we left the quiet leafy lanes of Devon to venture over to the dark side, being cornwall, (jam on top by the way!) The light at the end of the tunnel in Bude always gave us a sense of calm mingled with excitement as we approached from the carpark, I would grip my husbands hand as we drove through the town leading up to the tunnel however the first time we visited the tunnel the husband and myself got a little lost and ended up walking on the inside of the outside of the tunnel only to be met with a pole barring our way, thankfully we retraced our steps back and found the correct route, we made some light hearted banter and laughed and laughed as we made our way back, so as not to show anyone what a mistake we had made, This did not put us off however and we have visited many times since, we do tend to stick to times when we know Emmett’s wont be there, but as we have family emmetts coming down from up country in a few weeks, we plan on visiting the tunnel so we may venture there at a peak time, so they can experience the full effect. Well done Bude tunnel, keep up the good work and we will be back soon. Jam on top! OK!

On visiting bude this summer we must have picked the only rainy day so we popped in to the supermarket picked up some pasty 's got our holding chairs out of the car and set up a picnic in the tunnel and at one point the sun came out and created a wonderful rainbow though the perspex roof of the tunnel the only downside is the tunnel is narrow and other people using it had to step over us family of 4 . Will definitely be returning for lunch there again next year.

This is without doubt the crowning jewel in Bude towns magnificent buildings, there is time to saunter through at a sedate pace and take in the magnificent views afforded by the perspex roof, on a good day you are able to view the beautiful beaches and the happy holiday makers
It's a must see

Haven't been to Bude this year and this is one of the things I miss most. The tunnel is a godsend when it is raining (as it often is) can get congested with trolleys and visitors but I guess that is the price of success.

Since Bude's main attraction is soon to be leaving the area, this amazing tunnel is now my only reason to come back. Can't wait for my next visit!!!
