A lovely quaint tea room stop off following our walk over Northcott Mount. Was a pleasure to meet Margret who was able to share her knowledge of the area and places to visit.

When I saw all the 5 star reviews for Margaret's Rustic Tea Rooms, I thought perhaps another 5 star review was unnecessary ! But let's go like the generous dollops of clotted cream on Margaret's scones, and pile it on thick . We visited the Tea Room again today, and received the familiar warm welcome. It was just as we remembered it - simple "rustic" seating in a pretty little garden - where everyone is made welcome - children, dogs, regulars and newcomers alike. Margaret's Business Card says she wants customers to leave smiling, and sitting watching as we drank our tea, we could see this aim is achieved. Previous strangers who arrive as customers talk and laugh together. What an achievement. The food is always fresh and delicious, the tea brewed to order. If any ambitious Customer Service Managers need ideas for providing customer satisfaction, go to Margaret's Rustic Tea Rooms for a lesson on how it should be done. But then, Margaret is unique, and so is the Tea Room. Do go, and discover its magic for yourself.

It was a beautiful sunny day when we visited and so we sat by the little stream and enjoyed our delicious scones with lashings of clotted cream and jam on! Margaret herself is a delight to speak to and even recommended a local pub for evening food, which turned out to be a great place too! Would recommend this place to anyone and is perfect if you're out on a coastal walk!

We visited Margarets tea room as a group of 16 on a hen weekend. What a treat, ! The cream teas are amazing with loads of clotted cream all served by lovely Margaret. What a character! The setting is lovely just off the beach and we all thoroughly enjoyed our tea and cakes !

What a beautiful place for a tea garden. If you are out for a coastal walk stop by here for a cream tea. As mentioned (by another viewer) the scones are obviously not homemade, but they were so very fresh. Come ready spread with heaps of strawberry jam and a mountain of clotted cream, in the Cornish way of jam first. That was fine as I could take some of the cream off, but normally I prefer cream first then the jam (not that I would say that out loud in Cornwall!) Hubby had a large slice of Victoria sponge which he said was really light and tasty. Margaret is very relaxed and friendly with all her customers. We felt as if we had gone back in time as we watched all her customers very courteously take their trays back to the caravan when they had finished even though there are no signs up asking us to do that. As Margaret seems to run this alone, and as she is such a lovely lady, it was the least any of us could do. It was wonderful sitting out in the warm sunshine and we will certainly go there again for our afternoon tea when next in the area.
