We visited on a Saturday as a family and it was quite busy but not over powering. We were lucky to grab the last table available

The scones are amazing, however I feel let down that the jam and cream weren’t local and clearly from the cash and carry.

One major thing that has put me off was there was a gentleman (called John by the ladies) sat in the caravan smoking! I was shocked that this is even allowed?! He then walked through the caravan with his fag in his hand to grab something off the owner! I want to smell coffee and cakes when I’m stood there ordering, not cigarettes!

It’s a very peaceful place, let down by a minor things which can be altered!

We walked here from Bude. It didn’t take us long and the view was spectacular.
Margaret’s was easy to find - just look for the teapot sign. We ordered a cream tea from Margaret who was a very welcoming and jolly host. The scones were absolutely delicious, freshly made and very moorish! The garden was lovely with a little stream running through the middle.
All in all this is well worth seeking out. A scenic walk with a cream tea at the end - what’s not to like?

We love to walk to Margaret's rustic tea rooms either across the top from Bude to Northcott Mouth, or we wait until the tide is fully out and then walk from Bude across the sand to Northcott Mouth where you will find Margaret's tea rooms and you will have a wonderful greeting - a real treasure!
