Had a good meal here and it was very busy.

The management have clearly noted the issues in earlier reviews regarding the heat. It was quite hot, but not unbearably so,and as well as the ceiling fans three additional fans were on the bar. It is still warmer than one might expect on a coolish evening and maybe some work is needed long term to fit air conditioning or more powerful extractor fans. As it is it would be a perfect place on a chilly day!

The service was friendly and attentive without being annoying. Food was cooked to order and was of very good quality.

It's been a while since we had a three course meal where every course was very good with nothing that detracted from the enjoyment of the evening. The starters were full of flavour and not too large, the steaks were cooked perfectly and the baked fish I had was delicious. Always room for a dessert and these too were gorgeous and our excellent waiter Josh(?) helped us decide. The chocolate torte was dense and dark and yummy. The service was excellent - prompt, friendly and professional. Overall we had a brilliant evening and next time we're in Bude we'll be visiting again.

Delicious food, plenty of choices and specials board, reasonably priced. Only open evenings in summer, but well worth a visit.

We visited the Bistro just as it opened for dinner service. The manager was warm and welcoming and the staff were nice and friendly. The bistro was clean and nicely presented. The young waitress who took our order was helpful and brought our drinks quickly. Saddly the Peroni was warm and some ice would have been greatly appreciated in the glasses. The food took quite some time to appear but was presented really well and tasty. My husband chicken was tender and soft, however my beer battered fish was rather greasy underneath. My daughters pasta went down a treat. The cost of the food itself was reasonable enough but I found the cost of drinks quite expensive. Especially soft drinks! The longer we stayed there the hotter we felt! Even though there were fans in the ceiling they seemed to be blowing hot air and the heat became unbearable even though we were sitting by an open door! In all fairness it was quite a warm day but it was off putting and we decided not to order any ice cream as we couldn't stay any longer in the heat . Another down side is there are no toilet you have to leave the premises and walk around the corner and enter a small ally to get to them.

We walked past the window of this restaurant in the afternoon, were impressed by the menu and booked a table for 2 that evening. The food and surroundings didn't disappoint. The staff were really attentive.

We were so impressed that we rebooked with our sons for our last evening in the town. We all had different choices and enjoyed them but my favourite dessert was the lemon meringue roulade.

If there was a down side it was that the dining room was hot and airless despite the ceiling fans. Yes, it was hot on the hottest day of the year but most small restaurants in this country are not equipped with air conditioning. Our weather simply doesn't merit it.
