“Really good hotel !”
Reviewed 17 December 2013

Had my first stay at the Hebasca last week - had stayed here previously when it was under different ownership and think it was called the Camelot Hotel. What a transformation - someone has spent a lot of time and trouble ( and money !) and it is now a great modern hotel. Good service and great rooms ( unfortunately restaurant was closed so couldn't have dinner, but breakfast was excellent ). Will definitely stay again.

Booked a weekend away for our 50th birthday's.
Cant fault this hotel very impressed rooms imaculate, staff were so friendly and because of the cooker being out of action which was not the hotel's fault they were waiting for the enginer to arrive to fix the problem.
Was transported to their sister hotel by the manager to Tommy's Jack so we could have a evening meal which was amazing.
Met the owners daughter who was so helpful and friendly and you couldnt wish for a fantastic weekend the only problem waa we had to come home.
wishing you all a merry chirstmas and a happy new year

Recently stayed in the Play Room Suite for a surprise 21st birthday weekend for my partner, absolutely brilliant stay, the room was perfect, everything was thought of, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The food at Hebasca and its sister hotel Tommy Jacks was fantastic, because the cooker at Hebasca had gone wrong we were transported to Tommy Jacks for our dinner, only a few hundred yards down the road, but great idea! Loved the modern interior decor of both hotels, very quirky but comfortable! All in all absolutely loved our stay, high quality but not snobbish, great value for money!

Room Tip: Go for the Play Room, you will love it!

Booked one night for my wife's birthday and found the hotel to be very well finished in a modern style and spotlessly clean. The room (why do they have to call them "dreaming dens"?) was rather small - not a problem to us but the paucity of storage space could be an issue for a longer trip.

When we arrived, we were told the main cooker had gone wrong and so dinner (included in our package) would be at their sister hotel - Tommy Jacks, just down the road - and we were offered a shuttle bus. The meal there was ok but no better and when told this, the manager seemed to genuinely want feedback and dealt with it very well. It's also good to see he is creating a micro brewery on the premises.

Back at the Hebasca, breakfast was fine (although there was no sign of the fresh fruit promised on the menu).

An enjoyable stay overall.

Very impressed with the quality of the interior decor and loved the quirkiness of the hotel. Staff were most obliging and the room was delightfully appointed and most comfortable. The scrambled egg and bacon on French toast for breakfast was delicious.

Its taken me ages to write this but it doesn't reflect on our stay - we had a great time. The Hebasca certainly has its own personality and bags of it! Its recently refurbished and there were a few teething problems but to be honest, the staff were so helpful that we didn't mind too much. We struggled to get rooms because it was so popular so I was a bit disappointed with the size of our upgraded room - but it was comfortable enough. The small size meant that I wasn't able to unpack my case as there was nowhere to put things away which was a bit of a niggle but as we were only staying 2 nights, I wasn't too concerned. Not ideal for a longer stay though. We loved the ensuite - great shower and my husband was very taken with the waterproof hesian-style flooring (!!) (What was it Hebasca? we want some in our bathroom!) The restaurant was fantastic - we loved the artwork and my teenage children really liked the menu. We also liked the special offer on the steak on the second night - sadly we had to send my husband's back as it was cold but they were eventually all served perfectly. I felt so sorry for the staff who struggled with the internet connections and were batting away complaints from guests who needed wifi - but this seemed to all be resolved by the time we booked out. We know Bude well and love the location so staying at the Hebasca was a treat after our usual caravan. We are looking forward to the new hotel opening nearer the beach. Overall this was a good stay and lovely people - its a great marketing job and a fab brand - not sure it has quite got there yet but have no doubt it will do. Thanks Hebasca - we hope to be back.

Room Tip: We upgraded and were still disappointed by the size of our room and its outlook over the car park wh...
