“First class B&B perfect in all respects”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

As a result of reading other reviews we decided to stay at Little Heathers for New Years Eve night since we were going to a celebration in another establishment near by. Dealings with Wendy over the phone when booking ,were very friendly but also very professional which gave us an intial confidence that all would be well and we weren't disappointed in any way.
We arrived at a time to suit us and shown to our rooms .A first class delicious cream tea was served ,which included two warm home made scones, yummy home made chocolate cake plus homemade cookies and a huge pot of tea.
We then went to our rooms,we had the garden room which was very well appointed overlooking an immaculately tendered garden. Our room had first class fixtures and fittings including a very comfortable king sized bed ,flat screen TV, plus a very high quality spec ensuite.Towels are thick and fluffy and good quality products .The tea tray included a variety (and plenty of them) of teas, coffees and biscuits including kit kats ! Everywhere is spotlessly clean. My sister in law and her husband had the other double bedroon which was equally as good. We had a single friend with us and they normally only have the two rooms available but Paul and Wendy vacated their own bedroom so that our friend was more comfotable and kindly gave us use of their private sitting room .We felt this in itself took customer service to a whole new level .They even offered us a complimentary drink to start our New Year celebrations off and then even drove us to the venue.
When we returned our beds had been turned down with a chocolate placed on our pillow . Next morning we all enjoyed a fabulous breakfast which included a buffet with every type of cereal including a delicious homemade granola , a large bowl of chopped fresh fruit ,yogurts fruit and plain, the offer of porridge pus a variety of fruit juices. The cooked breakfast was fresh and cooked to perfection and you could have had black pudding and hash browns as well as the usual culprits. Croissants and pain au chocolat were also on offer.
Wendy and Paul are excellent hosts and have an excellent product , they deserve to do well because they definately exceeded all our expectations and we all want to return to Little Heathers -and I for one hope it wont be too long before we do.

Room Tip: The Garden room has a lovely outlook

My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay in the garden room of the Little Heather B&B. We spent the day prior walking around the local area which is lovely, flat and easy to navigate. Upon arrival we were welcomed into an impeccable house and offered cream tea, which was delicious. Enough cake for about four and beautiful china.

Our room was extreamly clean and very tastefully decorated. The room had plenty of nibbles and some toiletries for convenience. The bed was large and very comfortable with nice bedding. Furthermore on our return after dinner the bed had been turned down which was an appreciated touch.

In the morning we recieved a nice cooked breakfast to order with a fantastic selection of cereals (I recommend the home made granola), a delightful fresh fruit salad amongst other items.

All in all the stay was very nice in a beautiful area. We were well hosted and the cleanliness and decoration was noteworthy. If we return to the New Forest we shall stay again.

We stayed for one night at Little Heather whilst attending a wedding at the nearby Rhinefield House. Wendy and Paul made us both feel so welcome.
Upon arriving we were shown to an immaculate room, spotlessly clean, with all the mod-cons you can only hope to find in a premium hotel - this was a real treat in a B&B!!.
The room was stocked with a plentiful tea & coffee tray with added goodies too.

We had to rush out to attend the wedding, and arrived back at Little Heathers at midnight, where our room had been prepared for nighttime - a turndown service!

The breakfast was simply amazing, freshly cooked to order, with such a huge selection of items from the buffet, my favourite being Wendy's homemade granola, to die for!

This really is a special place, it has it all.
Thank you for having us to stay, we would love to return with our daughter to show her the ponies in spring.

What can I say... we were blown away by the incredible hospitality shown by Wendy and Paul from even before we arrived at their beautiful little B&B.

Paul picked us up from Brockenhurst rail station which was unexpected, it was actually a lovely journey back to theirs - we didn't have far to go but there were ponies and donkeys aligning the streets, truly magical. On arriving, Wendy greeted us warmly and showed us to our room - she had baked homemade biscuits and left chocolates on out pillows. The small touches always get me! We were given plenty of space but knew we only needed to shout should we need anything at all.

Breakfast the following morning was one of the best experiences I've ever had - and we have stayed in some seriously nice places. There was something for everyone and plenty!

It was incredibly kind of Paul to drop us off at the wedding we were attending (right in the middle of the forest, very romantic!) - their B&B couldn't be more perfectly located.

Upon returning to our room to that evening, it was clear that Wendy had been in and freshened things up for us which was nice.

As you can tell from the above, we adored our stay and we are definitely planning on heading back as soon as we can to enjoy some more of what Little Heathers and the New Forest have to offer - thanks Wendy and Paul.

Only stayed for 1 night before going to a 4 star hotel and spa the next day for my wife's 40th. However wish we had stayed here instead of moving on to the hotel.... and don't get me wrong the hotel and spa was lovely, but Little Heathers was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and Wendy was very welcoming and friendly. Bedroom and en-suite were much nicer than the 4 star hotels. The breakfast again was wonderful and put the hotels to shame, fresh fruit salad and full monty breakfast set me up perfectly for the day. All in all I can thoroughly recommend staying in this B&B

On arrival, Wendy our warm and welcoming host, showed us to our room. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and well appointed we were delighted the reviews didn't disappoint. After a delicious cream tea and sound advice on where to explore the area we set off to enjoy the beautiful New Forrest. The turn down service was a lovely touch as was the cute bear tucked between the pillows! Breakfast next morning was very well catered for, so much to choose from, the freshly cooked to order, "Full Monty" was certainly enough to set you up for the day. We would thoroughly recommend this B&B as a home from home with all the little extras to make it a special stay. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!

We had never been to the New Forest so looked on the internet to find a B & B. Little Heathers was a wonderful find. Not only were the rooms lovely, clean and spacious, but it was also all the little extras, like the cream tea on arrival, the hospitality tray in the room which also included cheese savory biscuits and bars of chocolate, the turn down service with a chocolate on the pillow and the little "friends" on the bed. Breakfast was lovely, with just about everything you could think of, even homemade granola and banana bread Wendy is a "local" girl and has an excellent knowledge of the area, recommending novices like us to some lovely little walks. She is a mine of information about the area which really helps when you are strangers. Would not hesitate to recommend her to anybody. Only hope we can get down there again in the not too distant future. Thanks very much to you both.

Room Tip: We had the larger room which has a patio door leading straight out to the garden which would be love...
