“Spa weekend break and 40th Birthday celebration”

From booking via email with a million requests (from me) Dawn in reservations put together a perfect passage for us. Our room was huge and comfortable, the beds were very comfortable. The Senspa was amazing. You relax the moment you enter, stay in your robe all day and relax. I was so relaxed i coudlnt decide which part of nothing I wanted to do next! The hotel staff from entering the hotel to leaving where so helpful, especially the cocktail waiter who made our very own dring. Senspa staff go out of their way to ensure you are happy and your needs are met. The treatments were indulgent and amazing. Spa facilities are really good. Only downside is that that overall the actual hotel (not Senspa) could probably do with a little touch up, they do have quite a few cobwebs here and there and the room decor is a little dated. With the Spa area there are only a few beds to lay next to the pool, no outside space to take in the sun if it appears and a few incidents with waitress staff however Senspa staff and the hotel staff dealt with these immediately. Overall with service, facilities and especially staff we had a brilliant time and would definately book again.

Room Tip: Explain what you want! we asked for more space if available and we got more space, it was a huge roo...

Really enjoyed this one night break. The staff at the hotel were very helpful attentive and polite. The room was great, spacious, clean and well equipped. Very comfortable bed with enough pillows. Lovely bathroom with plenty of soft fluffy towels.
We only used the inclusive leisure facilities and not the spa. The pool was a good size, the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi were great. There was not much space around the pool so loungers were limited, although we did have one each not all guests did. We ate in the French bistro. This was a casual dining experience, the Manor is more formal. The food was delicious, service was fantastic and overall we would recommend this restaurant. The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. This hotel was really good value for money for a weekday, dinner bed and breakfast break. Definitely recommended.

Lush green scenic views, a calm Forrest village feel.
Great for leisure and business.
Nice swimming pool. Good restaurants.
Rooms are big, a maze. Iron available in the room along with a kettle.
Extremely pleasant staff.
The only negative thing is the washroom and bath tub size, very small.
Good relaxing getaway.

We booked a two night stay at Careys Manor and had such a relaxing time. From when we arrived staff were charming and attentive, we were shown to our room and offered a tour of the hotel facilities. The spa is fantastic a good size pool and jacuzzi and such a relaxing atmosphere. We dined in the Thai restaurant which was lovely. The room we stayed in had all the little extras you need. We look forward to returning in later in the year.

Room Tip: Room 95 is great, balcony over looking the garden and quiet.

We decided to take my daughter out for a celebration of her birthday so my family booked a late afternoon high tea at this wonderful New Forest hotel. The surroundings are magnificent and the hotel itself is a great mix of old and modern. We sat out in the new lounge area where we were served a wonderful high tea. Sandwiches, a cream tea and cakes were plentiful. The service was superb with nothing too much trouble for any of the polite and courteous staff. Unlimited supplies of hot drinks fuelled us through the evening. We were not rushed just left to relax, enjoy the surroundings, fine food and some family time.

We booked one night away at Careys Manor on a Saturday. We waited a long time to check-in whilst a member of staff stood next to us doing nothing. A very poor first impression. The room was very pleasant, spacious and clean.

The bathroom was poky with an under-powered shower. Toiletries were nice.

The spa was OK but certainly not as luxurious or special as we'd been led to believe. The entrance to the spa also involved a short trek across something like an underground car park - dark and dingy - which didn't help. The staff were very helpful and polite. It was good to have a pool to actually swim in, but there weren't enough seats/beds to relax on.

Le Blaireau was great. The staff were attentive, helpful and polite. The food was really good, but the service was quite slow and we waited quite a time between courses.

Breakfast was buffet-style - fruit, yoghurt, cereal, cooked items. It was all OK, but nothing special and could have done with more 'continental style' things (cheese, salami, bread, smoked salmon). Staff were helpful.

On arrival we were a bit confused as to how to get to reception from the car park and ended up walking miles - might of been us but I suspect the signage could do with being updated. Fortunately, a member of staff found us, took care of the luggage and guided us to reception. Check in was smooth and we were happy with the room. Unfortunately, our plans for a relaxed, quiet stay were torpedoed by the presence in the garden room area of a hen party of 13 who were hitting the booze by 3pm. The bride to be was in the room directly below us and they were all congregating on her patio area. One cannot blame the hotel for this of course and the good thing was as soon as I rang reception to explain the situation we were immediately offered another room and given help to move. So full marks to the staff, all of whom we found to be polite, helpful and friendly - a strength of the hotel in our opinion. We dined in the Manor Restaurant and the food and service were very good. We also used the spa facilities which we enjoyed. Afternoon tea was quite expensive but excellent. The bed was very comfortable, the room large and comfortable although the décor was a bit jaded. Good shower, lovely soft towels and good range of products in the bathroom. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly return in the future not least because it is a great base for exploring the beautiful New Forest.

Room Tip: We stayed in the garden room area which is lovely and on the ground floor you have your own patio.
