We have just returned from a 2 night stay at New Park Manor and couldn't praise this hotel highly enough. Steve and team go out of their way to provide a friendly efficient service- nothing is too much trouble.
The hotel is completely geared towards giving the children a fun time whilst giving the parents a well earned break.
We were able to take full advantage of the free creche whilst myself and my husband relaxed in the spa. The treatments in the spa were exceptional and it was lovely to relax in the outdoor hot tub whilst watching the horses and stags in the surrounding fields.
The food and service was excellent; even the childrens meals were really good and the fact that your child gets their own complimentary starter of houmous, vegetables and pitta as well as crayons and paper whilst waiting for their main course ensures meal times are stress free.
Finally, whoever thought of the Sunday Morning Breakfast Club deserves a knighthood - Your child is collected from your room at 8am so they can have a fun breakfast and play time with the other children whilst the grown ups enjoy, coffee, newspapers and a lie in! Heaven!
Thanks so much to Steve and the team, we will be back!

I couldn't recommend this hotel, its staff and manager Steve Thorne-Farrar enough. My family have quite literally spent weeks here, and we have been back many times, each time being made to feel very welcome, among friends and at home. It is in a terrific setting, great for any time of the year, has a wonderful cosy interior, a great spa and pool, and is perfectly equipped for children of all ages (with trained staff and a secure den where children can be confidently left, giving you precious time to relax with the papers by the fire...). They welcome dogs, have a great menu, good cellar, copious breakfast, comfy beds and homely rooms. And they laid on a really excellent birthday lunch for my 8 year old daughter and our close family friends, with real care. All I can say is go there, expect to be relaxed - accept it as a country house with fires and kids and dogs, fields and woods - and immerse yourself in this excellent hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms are good - the rooms in the main body of the house have real character.

I was lucky enough to visit for Jon and Natalie's wedding on the 5th October and was very impressed with the hotel. Stunning location (wish I'd booked an extra night to explore a little), nice decor (liked a lot of the artwork), massive comfy bed in the King Charles room, good food (both wedding buffet and the yummy breakfast). Unfortunately I didn't have time to visit the spa so can't comment on that. The staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble, they were all very friendly and attentive without being in your face. Also worth notice they are dog and child friendly hotel - all in all a super stay and I look forward to returning when our pup is a bit older - thanks very much guys.

This is an ideal hotel for couples or families at a beautiful manor house in a very tranquil location. Our room with a very large four-poster bed was tastefully decorated and the restaurant and lounge are delightfully appointed with a charming mix of old and modern furniture and paintings. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the food was very good. Unfortunately we did not have time to use the spa facilities. The hotel is obviously very children-friendly and there is a discrete seperation between the dining room areas. A very enjoyble experience and we look forward to our next stay.

Staff were very nice and room was good size and TV in bath was a novelty! Spa pool was lovely although could do with more indoor seating and cleaner changing room. Generally the whole place was very relaxing. Only let down was breakfast, over 30minute wait, could hear shouting in kitchen. Juice was not chilled and bowls not all clean. However it was very busy so could be over looked. Would recommend to families but maybe not for romantic trip.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I am sorry for the delay with your breakfast. As you noted, many of our guests came down for breakfast at once which does happen from time to time. The team always do their best to delivery their usual high standard of service but apologise that you had to wait on this occasion, and that they juice was not chilled enough. I will look further into your comments regarding the bowls and see if we can position them a little better as on occasions the children can spill things into them when helping themselves to the breakfast buffet. I will also look into seeing if it is possible to put further indoor seating into the spa, but hope that you enjoyed it's many great facilities. I'm pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and very much hope that you will be able to come back and see us again very soon.
Best wishes

We have spent a couple of weekends here, the location is magical. The hotel has a comfortable homely feel, the rooms are as you would expect from a hotel of the quality and price, just as important they were very clean. The staff were efficient and friendly, the food excellent, especially the breakfast. It will always be on our list to return.

We have just returned today from 3 wonderful nights at New Park Manor. We were in desperate need of some TLC and luxury but didn't think we would ever get this again with a 17 month old daughter. However, due to Steve and the fantastic staff (without exception) we were able to relax and we all had a brilliant time. We booked a family suite (Daisy) which was well worth the extra money and our daughter slept very well in the Mamas and Papas travel cot and loved running up and down the corridor between the rooms in our suite. Food was excellent with the children's food ready as pre-booked (from an extensive menu) and tasted so good my husband and I nibbled it too. Little touches likes crayons and pitta, humous and carrots on arrival at high tea went down very well with hungry toddlers. The den was far better than expected - it is huge with so many toys and a lovely atmosphere. The staff kept out daughter entertained for a few hours each afternoon with painting and the resident bunny whilst we enjoyed the spa and treatments. The swimming pool was warm and perfect for little ones and we also enjoyed a bike ride (with children's seat) and you can hire bikes easily through the hotel. The baby listening service worked well so my husband and I could enjoy grown up time in the lovely dining room and eat delicious food and then only have to go upstairs to fall into our comfy bed. We kept saying what a highly successful holiday it had been and have high hopes to return every 6 months for some luxury family time. We did book all meal times, den sessions and spa treatments up in advance at the time of booking which was well worth it as the hotel is very popular with other families doing exactly the same as us. Thank you so much to Steve and his staff for making our stay so fun, relaxing and enjoyable for us all.

Thank you for taking the time to write your lovely review. I'm so pleased to read that you all had a lovely family holiday with us. Bobby the rabbit is going down a storm with the kids in the Den who have loads of fun feeding him and drawing his picture. I'm pleased to read that you pre-booked your Den and dinner with us, as we are very busy and this really does take the stress out of doing it all when you arrive. I will be sure to pass on your lovely feedback to the team who I know will delighted to read what a great time you had with us. We looking forward to welcoming you back very soon.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Welcome to New Park Manor, a luxury family and dog friendly spa hotel in the New Forest. Relax in our spa, play croquet on the lawn, enjoy afternoon tea on the terrace or some family time in our gardens. New Park Manor offers the perfect destination for anyone wishing to explore and appreciate the unique mosaic of woodland, heathland and wetland that comprise the ancient landscape of the New Forest. The New Forest, Britain's most popular national park, was created by William the Conqueror in 1079 as a royal hunting area. In 1611, King Charles II chose New Park Manor as his favourite hunting lodge and his royal coat of arms is still displayed prominently above the fireplace in our award-winning Stag Restaurant. New Park Manor was carefully adapted for use as a country house hotel with 25 bedrooms and opened in 1970. Interesting details such as acorns and oak leaf patterned doors and original furniture and fireplaces can still be seen throughout the building. These commemorate the debt owed by King Charles to the oak tree which hid him from Cromwell's men on his escape to France in 1651. Today, New Park Manor is a beautiful, stylish country hotel, where the traditions of days gone by still live on and many original features can still be seen around the hotel. Bedrooms range from the splendor of our Muntjac our signature Family Suite to the contemporary style of our Forest rooms. Over recent years, our facilities have expanded to include a heated outdoor pool, croquet lawn, and our award-winning Spa which included a heated indoor pool and outdoor Canadian hot tub overlooking the New Forest. ... more   less
