“Beautiful place to stay”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

My husband and I stayed over on a Saturday evening ona champagne break. It was truly wonderful. A really special place with a great feel to it. It is very charming with its open log fire, comfortable lounge and lots of areas to explore. The staff are attentive and discreet, nothing is too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service great. Our room was an executive suite and was ample size for us, the bed and bedding were very comfortable. Will definitely return again to stay and also for one of their afternoon teas with our children in the warmer weather when we can make better use of the beautiful grounds for a wander round.
Breakfast was really good, top rate sausages, bacon and eggs, couldn't eat it all though, shame just not a big breakfast eater, my husband is and to he thoroughly enjoyed it.
We didn't use the spa.

We stayed at Rhinefield House for Valentines day 2014 during some of the worst storms in decades. We had one of the best meals we have ever had in beautiful surroundings.

Unfortunately after the meal, the power went in the hotel, this was obviously not the Hotels fault with the amount of trees in the area that were toppled. This is where the quality of the staff was really shown, they quickly went about lighting candles everywhere and firing up all the log fires. Special mention goes to the barman who kept on serving everyone and even made an old fashioned via torch light.

Luckily the next day the weather was glorious and we were able to walk around the beautiful ground.

Following a long walk in the New Forest we decided to stop at Rhinefield House for afternoon tea. We were welcomed warmly and given a beautiful table overlooking the ornamental pond. The afternoon tea was delicious especially the scones. The service was impeccable with tea refreshed when needed. We were so comfortable that we decided to stay a little longer and have a glass of champagne!
We shall return soon for a short stay to take advantage of the hotels beautiful setting.
Thank you for looking after us so well!

Stayed 2 nights at the magnificent house and was doing a workshop planning day. The service, facilities, staff and location were faultless. The rooms are spacious and have all the usual amenities. The breakfast buffet in the Alhambra room is awesome and the lunch and dinner inclusive package great value. I would thoroughly recommend this place if visiting for either social or business as caters for both equally!

Stayed for 1 night in early February. This is a really impressive building, particularly as you approach it through the avenue of trees along the driveway. Inside is just as impressive with oak panelling and beams everywhere. We had an executive room which is in a very modern glass clad annexe which is cleverly hidden to the side so as to not spoil the appearance of the building. Our room was spacious and excellent with full length windows looking directly into the forest. Excellent bed, large tv and an ensuite with both bath and large shower cubicle, all spotless. We enjoyed a very good dinner in a beautiful oak panelled dining room and then were able to move through to an adjoining room to have coffee and a nightcap sat in front of a roaring log fire. The service we received from all the staff was friendly and attentive at all times. Lovely walks around the grounds or down the drive and into the forest. We used the Spa which was pleasant but very small, the pool is really only big enough for 2 or 3 people at a time, but nice hot tub, steam room and sauna and lovely big fluffy towels provided.
Only disappointing things were size of pool and thought the wine prices were a bit excessive but these would not put us off returning.

We recently arranged to stay at the Rhinefield House Hotel for one night using their special deal of dinner, bed and breakfast including a bottle of champagne and an upgrade to an executive room.

This is the second time that we have stayed at the hotel and we had such a fantastic time last time we wanted to experience it again. Unfortunately, this time the experience wasn't quite as good as last time. The service and the staff are absolutely fantastic and cannot be faulted in any way; extremely attentive. However, the champagne was not chilled when it was brought to our room and the portion sizes for the main course were rather small so my husband was still hungry after our three course meal. The selection at breakfast is fantastic; the best I have had at any hotel in the UK.

The room was perfect with a beautiful view of the forest. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. It was also lovely to have real milk in the room for tea.

We also decided to book a massage each. I had the facial and massage combo for 55 minutes. The facial was fantastic and the head massage was so relaxing; however, the back and shoulder massage wasn't so good as the masseuse's hands were like blocks of ice and took quite a while to warm up to a decent temperature, so I didn't really enjoy it as I couldn't relax.

Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay.

Thank you for your recent posting to Trip Advisor and I am sorry that this trip was not as good as you previous ones. I have discussed your concerns with the team and they too send their apologies. I was pleased that you found our new beds really comfortable and that you enjoyed the little touch of the fresh milk for your tea.
