We went here on a GroupOn and were thoroughly impressed.

It was the first time we have ever ventured into a traditional tearoom for afternoon cakes and tea, but it was fantastic.

We went for the 3 tier trolley, which offered our choice of sandwiches, followed by a scone each with clotted cream and jam, and finished with a slice of cake of our choice, as well as unlimited coffee/tea.

Food was fantastic and we left stuffed! Service was also good and with a smile.

Definately a treat, but it was a great experience and if we are ever in the area again we'd go back.

I have been frequenting the Brock and Bruin, now the Buttery since 1999.

It used to a quaint Tra Room which was known throughout the South of England for its excellent food and if course the Teddy Bears.

It then changed hands and the has been a gradual decline in the standard of the food and atmosphere ever since.

It is such a shame!!!

We stopped in Brockenhurst while visiting the New Forest. The charming outside of the Buttery convinced us to look at the menu. There was enough to please everybody. Then, we saw that it is popular with locals, always a good sign.
We liked the interior, very English and peaceful.
I ordered a meat pie that came with vegetables. Delicious! My son had a gigantic cheese sandwich. The other members of our family were pleased with their meal too.
For desserts, there are cakes and cookies to choose from behind a glass counter and we spent some time debating what we would order. But we haven't tried any because we were too full.
I would go again if in the same area.

Had a fabulous lunch at the Brock n Bruin, very friendly staff who were very good with my 9 year old son, great selection of food, endless cups of tea, and fabulous cakes to take away. Would recommend to all.
