After a walk through the Forest and Brokenhurst we stopped off at this attractive cafe and sat outside in the adjoining patio area. The Beverages and cake were fresh and perfectly palatable. We spent a very pleasant 30 minutes watching the world go by

A quirky place to eat. The staff were friendly and attentive with nothing being too much trouble. The food was nice and fresh and well presented. Will visit again when next in the area.

Excellent cream tea with wonderful scones baked by a Japanese lady - which, I think, is certainly a first for me! The place has been described as "eclectic" by a previous reviewer and I have to agree: the furniture is downright weird, with odd seats and even odder tables (or carved tree stumps, to be more accurate) which can just about cope with a cup and saucer, so eating a cream tea off them was a bit of a challenge. However, this discomfort was offset by delightful and friendly staff (which is a bit different to the tea shop across the way, which had neither). Well worth a visit.

The cafe itself is aesthetically pleasing and a bit different. Unfortunately they are not very consistent with cake and coffee. Sometimes I have a lovely cappuccino, other times pretty bad, it all depends on who makes it. The cakes can be v tasty and at other times dreadfully stale. It's a shame as there's great potential there and the owner is a delightful lady.

We went to the water splash cafe twice for our antenatal group meet up. We were there out of season on a week day when it was very quiet. We ensured that our prams were not in the way and only took up room immediately by our table. However, we were made to feel very unwelcome. We were told we couldn't sit on the sofas as other people might want to use them. As it was they were empty throughout our visit and I'm unsure why others should have priority for the sofas over us as they were empty when we arrived. We were then told our prams were a fire hazard and would have to be put outside (it was raining) the food was nice and I like the decor however other cafes in Brockenhurst offer better value and the welcome left a lot to be desired
