Called in by chance for lunch & walked into a surreal alter world! Every wall was covered in black material & the entire pub was strewn with Halloween decor - goulish, creepy, hideous things right down to the Adams family hand tapping away on the table! 'Course I expect some would hate this but we thought it just brilliant fun - it takes them two weeks to put together & apparently they 'do' Christmas with as much pazzaz. Now the food - we thoroughly enjoyed our meal - just had toasted sandwich & my partner had a pasty, a personal favourite of his so a positive review from such an expert really means something! The salad garnish was fresh & I ordered chips which are not normally my preference but really glad I did - lovely crinkle cut chips seemingly from real potatoes - a rarity. Disappointingly we couldn't manage dessert. The restaurant areas are lots of smallish individual rooms - particularly fantastic for a party group. Nice garden area too - looks like a good bet for a summer BBQ. I would have liked to have had a full meal as the menu was attractive - I would class this as very good pub grub & would like to revisit - especially at Christmas.
