“Friendly enough but poor food”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

Have visited a few times and always friendly staff but the food really isn't great. Had a ham and cheese panini and it was very cheaply made and tasteless, also said it came with crisps and didn't. The scrambled eggs are also tasteless and feel that this is quite a simple thing to do well!? No where in Bideford delivers on quality food, which means I tend to always go to Appledore and Westward ho! for cafés now.

Thank you for taking time to review our restaurant, we have taken your comments on board and will look to improve where possible.
We do strive to deliver consistent quality food, in the items that you have mentioned the Cheddar is local from Parkham farms and the bread and ham are locally sourced, our eggs are delivered fresh from a farm in Littleham and are scrambled with fresh double cream and seasoning to order.
I do hope that you re-visit Bideford and maybe us in the future as the town has so much to offer.

“Great lunch with family and friends”
Reviewed 15 April 2014 via mobile

Popped in for lunch while on the Tarka trail. Friendly helpful staff and a good range of food reasonably priced. Pulled pork with BBQ sauce in a wrap with chips satisfied two teenage girls, doorstep sandwiches, garlic mushrooms and the gourmet burger kept the rest of us happy. The milkshakes were a bit weird, but apart from that, highly recommend.

“Take a Gander”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

Having eaten here in it's previous incarnations (Cafecino Plus and Serendipity) I was keen to sample the fayre at the now Green Goose. Gorgeous Girlfriend her two lads and I had lunch, and very good it was too. A vegetarian breakfast without the all too fraudulent pseudo veggie sausages, eggs benedict, chocolate pancakes and breakfast in a bagel. OK, we watch too much master chef and have become food critics: yes there were niggly things that could have been slightly better to keep our new John Torode personas happy, but all in all we had really good food, served by friendly staff in a great little venue. We will be back.

“25th Wedding Anniversary”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

From when we viewed the function room to the evening of the Party, we were looked after very well indeed. The food was lovely and they looked after the Bar really well. The staff were very warm, friendly and polite. All our guests commented on how lovely the food was,how nice the room was and how polite and friendly the staff were. We would strongly recommend to family, friends and to anyone to try it. We had a really 'special' night and would like to say a 'special' THANK YOU to all the staff involved.
