First visit for us as a family plus our dog, to north devon, I am truly captivated. The setting of woodland cottages are idylic, and all areas easily accessible to explor beautiful north devon with its contrasting scenery, blue sea and the dramatic exmoor count yside. The 17th century barns have been converted to a high standard, making them a home from home. The elevated views are fantastic, and the 8 acres they are set in is great for a stroll. Truly doggy heaven.
There are three cottages sleeping 6, 6, and 4. They are all very well apportioned and stocked. They are accessed from the main road down a little lane and then open up to this wonderful area. Set in 8 acres of woodland, which belong to the owners, you are only a mile away from a very nice pub The Hunters Inn which serves exceptionally good food.
Alison and Tim who own the cottages are wonderful hosts, Ben and Lily the dogs welcome you back each day. It really is a perfect location from which to explore North Devon with the added benefit of coming back away to peace and quiet.
Badger Cottage where we stayed had three bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin and 1 with bunk beds. The patio has a table and 6 chairs and is a little sun trap with the view over the rolling hills.
If you want to have a relaxing few days away, this is the place.
