“Tranquility”
Reviewed 6 August 2018 for a stay in July 2018

My wife choose the property hoping for peace and quiet following a stay in hospital. There is no doubting that the whole area offers rural tranquillity in abundance. Plenty to do on foot, bike, boat or car. The walks by the river and to Quistinic are recommended.
Eating in the nearby establishments recommended by the owners are worthy of a visit.
The cottage itself has everything for a stay. The use of the garden and its facilities are an extra treat. Thanks for a good experience..

All in all a restful return to Brittany.

“Fantastic centre for exploring Southern Brittany by bicycle”
Reviewed 24 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We have just returned from a super weeks holiday at Vine Cottage. Linda and David are the perfect hosts; friendly, helpful but not intrusive. We received a warm welcome and immediately felt at home, and received many good recommendations of places to visit and the superb restaurant in Melrand. Southern Brittany has a wealth of cycle routes and quiet roads which are easily accessible from Poul Fetan. We have enjoyed exploring this area by bicycle and used our car to take the bikes further afield, to the Golfe of Morbihan.

Thank you for this great review.
We were so glad that the cycling lived up to your expectations. This is certainly a perfect spot for keen road cyclists and mountain bikers as well as for more leisurely cyclists who enjoy the riverside rides.

“Comfortable and relaxing”
Reviewed 7 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We received a very warm welcome from Linda and a very nice welcome basket including freshly laid eggs from the garden. Linda then explained everything we needed to know and confirmed that she had booked us a table at a local restaurant which was fantastic.
The cottage itself is very comfortable and equipped with all the mod cons for enjoyable holiday.
The bed was very comfortable, the shower excellent and the TV had English channels.
The garden is lovely with plenty of options to chill including sun beds and a hot tub.
In walking distance of the cottage is an authentic Bretagne village museum which is very good to spend a whole day or half and has a nice bistro
All in all we really enjoyed our stay and found it the perfect base for exploring the area

“Lovely tranquil stay ”
Reviewed 6 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We enjoyed a lovely week here. Linda and David were such great hosts, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Nothing seemed to be any bother. We were provided with a great welcome basket of goodies, plenty of firewood and lent bikes for a lovely cycle along the river which is very beautiful. Linda and David also lit the wood fired hot tub which we spent an evening star gazing from. I was really impressed with the amount supplied in the kitchen such a herbs, olive oil etc as well as lots of kitchen equipment meaning I was able to cook easily. There are plenty of beaches within easy driving distance, we had a good day at Port Louis, where we had mussles at the beach restaurant. This is the perfect spot for a relaxing break full of nature! Also really good for someone coming on a budget as all the activities you can do e.g.: biking, walks, fishing are all free. We will definitely be returning sometime soon - amazing holiday

“Lovely stay”
Reviewed 4 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

My partner and I stayed for a week in Vine Cottage. It is a well furnished, clean Breton cottage. There is a pretty outside area where you can eat or relax with a glass of wine.

There is an extensive garden area with a hot tub which is available for guests' use. The surrounding area is very rural, so o quiet and relaxing.

There is plenty to see and do in the area and great beaches not too far away.

We very much enjoyed our stay and found Linda and Dave helpful and informative hosts.

“Fantastic accommodation and location”
Reviewed 10 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Blavet Forest Gites are in a very peaceful and quiet location, and a beautiful setting. Linda and David were very welcoming and friendly hosts, and we felt very well looked after. The standard of the accommodation is exceptional, it is well-furnished and clean, with a newly refitted bathroom including a monsoon shower. We were able to use their lovely garden and another plus was the wood-burning hot tub - sitting in it on a warm summer's evening with a glass of wine is a treat not to be missed. There is plenty to see and do in the area including Poul Fetan, a restored village 5 minutes walk away, and lovely places to eat. This is the second time that we have been to the cottage, and we will be returning!

Thank you Sue for this positive review. We are delighted that we were able to provide a peaceful setting for your holiday whilst being in a location with so much to offer to those who are keen to get out and about. The hot tub continues to be a favourite with many guests as does the historic village that we adjoin. The bakery there is renowned in the area for fresh bakery products cooked in a wood-fired oven. I am sure you loved the bread and cakes made by Jerome the baker.!

“What more could you ask for in a holiday retreat”
Reviewed 9 August 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We enjoyed ourselves so much we have booked for next year staying for 2 weeks.
The gites are located perfectly for walking and sightseeing. Lovely riverside walk virtually on the doorstep with lots of sightseeing opportunities starting a few minutes drive away. Port Phelan is a few minutes walk away which is a historical village open from spring through to autumn.
Each gite is tastefully and sympathetically decorated. The gites have fully equipped kitchens, wonderful bathroom, log burning fires and comfortable settees. The gites open onto a shared courtyard but there is individual bistro sets outside each gite as well as a lovely garden with log fired hot tub.
The owners, Linda and David are so helpful and friendly without imposing on privacy.
Two of the gites have an interconnecting door which can be unlocked to allow access for larger groups or locked on both sides if booked separately.
There are resident cats whom watch everything but keep their distance and hens wandering
around freely.
The setting is ideal for getting away from it all.
When we arrived there was wine, bread, cheese, butter, teabags, coffee, milk, jam and eggs all ready for us. Such a lovely welcome. We also recieved a card and bottle of fizz as it was our 30th wedding anniversary.
This is the first gite we have booked to go back to and we have been enjoying holidays in France for the past 15 years.
Have a look at the website, you will not be disappointed.
