Description: The Old Star in Kilham is a traditional country pub in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds and the local community. Real Ales and freshly prepared local meals are a mainstay. With 2 log burners and 2 open fires throughout the pub a warm welcome is guaranteed even on the chilliest winter (or summer) evening. A south-facing beer garden means children, dogs and sun-seekers are well catered for. Alternating Wednesdays we hold a quiz night. We are flexable to do take-way too, please just submit your order and we will prepare it for you! For tables of 6+ booking is appreciated as this will allow for better service for you and other diners. The pub is dog friendly, however during eating and peak hours owners are requested to ensure their dogs are under control and out of the dining areas. Looking forward to see you soon!

Been a couple of times since the Pub reopened. The atmosphere is great and the service is friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed taking part in the quiz on Wednesday night sat round the wood burning stove with good company...can't beat it. Looking forward to more evening there!

This is my perfect pub. Great real ales, delicious home cooked food (the chef should be in a top city restaurant!!) cosy atmosphere with open fire and friendly service. It is also excellent value for money. We have a holiday home at The Bay, Filey, which is only a twenty minute drive from there. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone

Stumbled upon this delightful country pub whilst out driving after taking the scenic route home. Lovely little gem of a pub with a nice outdoor drinking area and a cracking selection of well kept real ales. The enthusiastic landlord guided us through the different beers on offer and we decided to stay to eat after seeing how clean the toilets were - it's not very often the wife is complimentary about pub toilets! And boy, are we glad that we stayed. I had the steak pie, large portion, fantastic proper homemede chips and vegetables cooked to perfection. Makes a lovely change, whilst the boss had the Stargazer Pork tower - great presentation, everything cooked to perfection. Table service was just right, there when we needed it and not overpowering - Any complaints? Only one - we were so full we couldnt try the desserts.
Would definitely reccomend and will certainly be back

went a few times over the jubilee bank holiday whilst staying in the village. Nice old country pub with a garden at the back, unfortunately wet most of that weekend but given better weather would be great to spend an afternoon/evening in. Decent red wine available not the usual blossom hill rubbish, food was lovely and in decent portions, brother still talks about the stargazy pork dish he had. Locals were friendly too which lent an extra boon to the atmos. Pub had just been taken over when I went, looking forward to return visit.
