Our first visit to Beverley was great, thanks largely to an enjoyable two night stay at the Kings Head. The room was excellent, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the food and drink were high quality. It's a lovely, lively hotel and we'll definitely be back!

Five of us met here for lunch and were dealt with by friendly staff. The restaurant area was spacious and there was a good choice of menu. The gammon was great, the rump steak superb and the charge of 70p for a slice of dry white bread was simply jaw-dropping!!! It wasn't even a chunk of home made bread! We spent just under £100 in meals and drinks .......a fair amount of dough even without the bread!!!

My hubby and I went here for our wedding anniversary, the staff were wonderful they went out of their way to settle us in. The location of the hotel is perfect right in the middle of Beverley and it's many pubs and restaurants, perfect for a night away without the kids :) Fab hotel and a fab night out :)

Fantastic staff who went out of their way to be accommodating. Lovely meals and 20% discount on dining in was a bonus. Room was very noisy being above a pub and incredibly loud from beat of music and revellers into the early hours. We did expect noise, knowing it was above a pub, but not to this extent. Room also cramped for a family of four though it was clean. Excellent central location.

I've stayed here twice now and would say its a lovely place to stay. 1st room we had was a bit in the small side but very cosy and beds are the most comfortable I've slept on. 2nd time round we for a bigger room with a very nice large bath. To the comments below, it is a lively bar yes, that's happens when you stay in a centre! Me and my other half personally said we couldn't really hear the noise from the bar, nowhere near as the people make out on the reviews below and we've never had trouble sleeping! And I've certainly never had the tv go off at midnight!
Rooms are always very clean, staff are always very polite on arrival and at breakfast, which is to a good standard and if your up early enough plenty of fresh fruit and yogurts to choose from! Only downside is the size if the car park!
Returning again in fe band can't wait :)

Yes the Marstons website says these are rooms above a lively bar. But I can assure you nothing can prepare you for this kind of lively. This is a pub/ club with bouncers on the door and the loudest music I have ever heard. It's like having someone with a pneumatic drill in the room with you the bass shakes the building. This stops around 2.00 am-ish and then you have the noise of some sort of extractor fan/ generator that sounds like a helicopter landing outside. The earplugs provided are useless in the face of this kind of noise. This one is best left for stag/hen parties. The young staff were mainly very pleasant, welcoming and doing a great job, reception staff in particular. First time I have had to ask for the table clearing from the previous guests when ordering meals at the bar. It was cleared but we wiped it down with wipes ourselves as nobody else did. We have done it and are now sure that anywhere else in Beverley will be better than this if you want to sleep in a " hotel ".

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else if you are wanting to sleep at all.
