We stayed in The Tack Room between 13th and 19th April 2014. As soon as we walked in it felt like home but better. Complimentary wine, tea, coffee and toiletries. There is a shared courtyard garden which we liked as our 9 year old daughter could make friends with the other children.
She also was able to help with feeding the animals, Alpacas, sheep, goats and chickens.
We were all made to feel very welcome by everybody, the receptionists, workers and residents who owned lodges on the site.
We were able to walk our young dog to the field and let him off plus walks around the fishing lake where we fed the swans most evenings.
Visited Beverley where we did some retail therapy and the Minister.
Further afield we visited Castle Howard which we enjoyed immensely but were happy to return 'home' to High Farm.
Would definitely recommend this if you like quiet, simple pleasures!More
