I read a few reviews whilst looking for somewhere for Sunday lunch and most were quite favourable.
On arrival we were greeted warmly by a very presentable young lady and shown to our table.
First impressions were that the room was spacious and light with comfortable seating.
Within minutes we were served our drinks whilst browsing the menu. There were other dishes besides Sunday roasts e.g. pheasant.
I chose the beef and my wife chose the pork. We ordered the regular size which, in my opinion, is plenty for someone with a normal appetite. Everything was cooked to perfection and we both agreed that the Yorkshire puds were probably the best that we had ever had beyond home and family. We were also given an extra jug of gravy, which is a nice touch.
On to puddings. For me, Creme Brulee and again superb, especially with the nice touch of a fresh berry pot, rasberries and shortbread. My wife chose the chocolate fudge cake which was big, delicious and unbelievably light.
Considering the quality of the food and service, the prices are very reasonable, including the drinks. We will definitely be returning even if we have to make a special trip.
