“Near sea front and gardens”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 July 2013

Best aspects were the location, lounge and breakfast. We had a small en suite room which was clean and comfortable but could do with a " freshen up". The bonus was the additional use of the large downstairs lounge with tv and honesty bar.
The breakfast was exceptional. Extensive fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, toasts and jams as well as a range of hot full English, salmon or omelettes.
It was disappointing not to be able to use the large back garden and small veranda in the hot weather but that entailed removing the dogs and was private in the evenings.
There is limited parking at the front which when full restricts access to the entrance.
We recommend also you walk across the road and stroll along the quieter end of Weymouth with mini golf, tennis and sea swimming.
A short stroll along the flat prom in the opposite direction and you have restaurants, beaches, harbours , marinas , theatre and shops.

Friendly family owned hotel. Very comfortable bed, lovely breakfast. Ideal location, walking distance to town and lovely gardens just across the road. Spent two evenings on the beach near the hotel just watching the world go by with a bottle of wine. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We were lucky to get a room, it was small but it didn't bother us. Large lounge downstairs with...

Stayed for three nights. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a good shower room and tea and coffee in the room. Breakfasts were good and dishes such as smoked salmon and brioche and bagels made it a bit of a change from the usual b & b fare. There is a nice communal lounge with drinks available at very good prices. Only ten minutes walk from the centre of Weymouth but with parking available.

stayed one night in Weymouth the Guest House was very clean and tidy and very welcoming inviting environment. Excellent breakfast, not far away from attractions. The room was very clean, well presentable and decorative. We were taken aback by the spectacular views of the guest house, we asked the manager if we could stay another night, which we were able to. The owners were very knowledgeable and helpful about the surrounding area of Weymouth. The breakfast had plenty to offer such as hot/cold beverages, cereals, toast, croissants, cooked breakfasts by choice. We would definitely come back again to this Guest house and would recommend this to anyone.

Just stayed here for two nights as first timers to Weymouth. This is a first class guest house throughout. The rooms, food, facilities and hosts could not have been better. We would not hesitate to return here or recommend it. Close enough to the beach and town to walk everywhere.

We recently stayed for five nights at the Ashmira. The guest house was very clean, comfortable and the host, Roger, was very friendly. The breakfasts were excellent. Comfortable communal lounge in which to relax. Plenty of restaurants for lunch & evening meals only a short walk away.
