I can reconnect this hotel ... Don't be filed into thinking it is a tiny house turned into a B&B. They have over 25 rooms but have tried to keep it friendly and personal

Excellent breakfast and really convenient location

Stayed: July 2014, travelled on business
Thank Ann P

Thank you Ann. Yes- our house hugs the whole corner and it's deceiving from the seafront.
Customer care is a huge part of our philosophy - a big, genuine, warm welcome that hopefully continues throughout your stay! We look forward to welcoming you again and assure you of our very best attention at all times.

My owners have just brought me home from here after my first stay away here. I'm told we will be coming back.
First there was a lovely bowl of water for me after my long journey, and the ladies in the office greeted me like a long lost friend. They obviously understand 4 legged friends!

My owners snored well so they must of had a comfy bed, they brought mine with them. Breakfast was served to us in the lovely big lounge where him and her also enjoyed the hot drinks on offer, and also a sneaky few biscuits I noticed, and she tells us all she's on a diet! My friend in the office offered me a sausage and I could happily have eaten one but I'm diabetic, but the ladies had it all in hand going the extra mile to look after my insulin in the fridge.

You should have seen the size of the walk in shower him and her had, unfortunately I don't like water, but there was plenty of room for me to hide the other side of the room.
Weymouth is great with lots of nice walks along the prom, by the Swannery etc enough to keep us all happy.
Can't wait to go back, I didn't want to come home!

Cassie!!! Hello to you and please say hello to your lovely owners who obviously care a great deal about you. When they originally phoned to make the reservation , they told us all about you and we looked forward to meeting you 'in person'!

We agree that Weymouth welcomes dogs - I was in the bank this morning when an owner brought a dog in to cool in the air conditioned lobby and enjoy the bowl of water! ...and many of the pubs and cafes allow dogs too.

But you have given us an idea to do a 'Guide to Weymouth' from a dogs-eye-view! So a big thank you and please come back and visit in winter when the whole beach is open and lots of locals come and meet up for walkies! Thank you, Cassie!

Upon arrival we entered the B & B Weymouth via a very large door with a small hotel sign at the top of the steps. Reception, if that's what you can call it is on the first floor and we were led to our sea view room on the top floor!!.

No tea making facilities in rooms. This is all in the very large lounge on the first floor with fantastic sea views where all you could need for early / late refreshments is. A very good, if not different way of doing it. But it works for this establishment. Breakfast is in the brightly decorated sea view breakfast room on the ground floor. Very good quality food for breakfast, eggs cooked fresh in the same room. All in all a very good place to stay. Could do with a bit of TLC here and there but did not detract from our stay. Staff very friendly and polite.

Room Tip: Sea view is good but windows not particular big. Rear room may of been a bit quieter, especially wh...

Hi Sue

Thank you very much for reviewing - we are thrilled you have enjoyed your stay and thank you for the honest feedback. For future visits, please book direct and mention if you would like a hospitality tray in your room - it will be no trouble to provide. Also, if we have the chance to talk through requirements - we can allocate a lower room for you. All helpful tips, I hope, so that we can provide the perfect stay for you next time.

All the best from all the team.

We stayed here for two nights. The location is great along the promenade and you can sit in the guest lounge and look out onto the sea. Great choice of breakfast options and the food as well prepared.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts - we agree the Guest lounge is truly an oasis - there is little better than daydreaming out to see with a glass of something smooth ...or a nice cappuccino!

We stayed here overnight before getting the early ferry to Jersey. It is ideally situated on the esplanade and you can get a permit to park on a street close by if you can find a space - not too difficult but have some patience. Slightly disappointed there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, however this was an oversight on the person that checked us in - they did not tell us that these facilities were to had in the upstairs lounge and could be accessed anytime.
The breakfast was excellent and served to us separately, upstairs, as we had a dog. This B&B is very dog friendly. The room was spotless and the bedding/ bed very comfortable. The only drawback was the noise. This B&B is on the edge of town, across the road from a pub and above a supermarket - the noise of deliveries and early morning street cleaning were very, very noisy, as was the shouting of people walking down the street and leaving the pub - it may not have been quite so bad if we had the double windows closed, but it was a scorching night and we needed the air,
Thanks to the very pleasant and friendly Michelle (hope that was her name). Would happily stay here again despite the noise.

Room Tip: Ask for a room off the street with the pub if the weather is hot.

Thank you so much for reviewing - it is really appreciated.

We welcome dogs and this is really helpful for residents and travellers to the Channel Islands. It can be stressful travelling with four legged friends and we try to minimise this. Al our B+B's a re dog friendly.

Weymouth Beach between the months of October and May is open to dogs and this is a great time to get some air in your lungs and meet lots of like-minded people!

We are truly sorry the tea and coffee facilities were not pointed out to you on arrival - we will use your feedback in refresher training - thank you.

With best wishes - see you again.

Really loved it here. Ideal location: the beach is across the road, it's close to the shops and just a few minutes walk from the railway station and harbour. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, good selection of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts etc but I opted for the cooked breakfast which was freshly prepared and not left out on a hot buffet. There is no lift but I had realised this beforehand as I read the website, so asked for a room on a lower floor so there were fewer stairs. It was a nice room, had everything we needed, including toiletries, very clean and modern. The bed was really comfortable. Slight downside as someone else has said, if you have to open the window [which we did as the weather was so warm] there is noise around 6am from street cleaning and brewery lorries but this is the price you pay from being on the Esplanade. It did not spoil our stay at all.
So, if you are looking for an old fashioned, chintzy B&B all on one level, this place is probably not for you, but we [a couple well into our 60's] would recommend it and will hopefully stay here again.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are all on the higher floors

Hi Jennifer

Big thank you for posting your thoughts - we really appreciate guest feedback - the only way to improve and know how people feel.

If you come again during hot weather - we can supply fans for the rooms - this will help. But we are pleased this didn't detract too much from your enjoyment of Weymouth and our B+B.

All the best

Loved this hotel ! So much better than a traditional b&b.
Bed really comfortable, good quality bedding and lovely toiletries. Large clean bathroom and walk in wardrobe.
Beautiful large lounge with views across the seafront and good coffee machine. Good selection at breakfast and freshly cooked in front of guests.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Parking permit allowed parking free in streets behind the hotel or in 3 carparks.
Excellent position on the seafront and right by the shops and bars. We had a room at the back and it was quiet. We couldn't hear any noise from other guests or the road.
It was was a bit stuffy overnight, but we knew it didn't have aircon!
Excellent value, will stay there again.
